The B-Ark / Re: Today :(

If DG does bring in new players, I hope he finds some taller players of merit. One thing that has been obvious this season is the feeling of camaradie in our present squad. It would be sad to see any of them leave but the show must go on if we are to make the play offs next year. Whatever DG says, we HAVE missed Newsh in the run up this season.

Whatever happens in our final games we should be proud of DG and his team for getting us so far this season. As a thought, do the teams above us have the necessary ground criteria to enter the Conference should they go up? Floreat Bostona !

Sounds like their keeper was their MOM. Wasn`t he on loan from Burnley?

Anybody remember him? He has signed for Guiseley.

Let's not forget Kevin Blackwell who saved that penalty against Wealdstone in that FA Trophy final at Wembley .

In a previous posting, I did suggest moving Garner up front as an experiment but got slated for it!!!! I might add that I did not intend it to be a permanent move unless we signed someone of a similar standard to replace him in defence.

It seems to me that Guiseley took their chances when offered whereas we failed to take ours. By all accounts at least a draw would have been a fairer result.

We need someone in the forward line who can take on taller defenders at their own game. Perhaps DG could put Garner in the forward line and then sign a replacement for him in the midfield.

Sorry about the first posting. I didn`t know Radio Lincolnshire were covering the match until I saw it mentioned on Craig`s twitter.

There are a lot of good clubs in Skrill Premier and Southport are not one of them Nevertheless, it was a good performance.

The B-Ark / Southport Game
« on: November 22, 2013, 07:36:23 PM »
I wonder how many travelling fans realise that Southport play in similar colours to us, namely black and amber. That being the case, perhaps it would be a good idea for us to wear something blue to match our away strip. I remember when we knocked them out of the FA cup back in the 70`s and arrived at the ground thinking "Wow, our supporters completely outnumber theirs". It took me a while to realise the error. I hope our club plays in our away strip on Saturday so that the team get used to passing to someone in blue  in preparation for the Southport game. It could be confusing for them in that match.
Here`s hoping for a repeat of that FA cup game in the 70`s! Anyone else remember that game?

Some great shots there, Shippy. What camera set up are you using. Any tips for a budding sports photographer?
