This really is a good time to be a Boston United fan, after all the crap we've had thrown at us over the past few years. It's one thing having the club saved at the death only a couple of years ago, but to assemble such a capable squad under these two managers is different class. A HUGE well done to everyone concerned from top to bottom, lets make the most of these two managers and this set of players whilst we have them. Onwards and upwards!! ;D ;D ;D

No chance! Another nail in modern day football, along with sock over the knees, coloured boots, agents, diving/simulation, crap celebrations, mock tudor housing for players and shite tattoos (Glen Johnson has "everything happens for a reason" on his arm) how deep and thought provocking!! Vuvuzelas BOOOOOOOOO

Great news!! Been a fantastic signing for us, i think he has perhaps just needed a good consistent run in a side to show his worth, which he has now done. I think it would be a mistake for him to jump ship and join another club, hopefully he will play at a higher level again, but with us!

Surely Mark Hallam, from the early ninties, came from Leicester Utd (?) on the back of a 50 goal season then donned the amber & black and scored feck all!!!

On a serious note i couldn't leave out Bazza or Ellie, could we find room for Daryl Clare? He may be on there already and i'm blind!

What a shame Liam, i wasn't aware he was a local lad, i'm sure there will be a few clubs sniffing around to get his signature this summer. I can remember when we played our last game in the football league in front of 12,500 supporters, the next time i saw us was away at Alfreton Town in front of 450 odd, you can imagine how hard that is to take. Worse was to follow as we were then booted further down the pyramid to face the likes of Camill Laird and Vauxhall Motors etc. I remember going away to Worksop one evening at Hucknall's ground to witness an awful game and wondered if i could continue to follow with any enthusiasm any more. You have to keep the faith mate, you have a decent fan base and i'm sure you'll pull yourselves back up again, i hope so anyway, good luck.

I really feel for Salisbury because, as we are all aware, that is effectively the end of their present squad as they know it. Can you see players like Matt Tubbs plying his trade two leagues below? No chance. As ever it's the poor supporters who suffer and can forget going to Luton Town, Mansfield, York etc and start preparing to face teams they may never even heard of!! I wish you all the luck with your appeal STFC but i fear you may have more chance of finding a large piece of rocking horse s**t than being allowed back in the Conference  :(

Really good signing, if Cammy stays fit he'll keep things ticking over nicely in the middle of the park for you. A great addition at this level.

I'm quite sad to see Evans go to be honest, had far more good games than bad and produced several very important saves in vital games, maybe this is the time for Butcher to step forward and fufill his potential. Good luck Tom, a sound pro who did a great job for us in a great season.

Chris Wood i think proved to be a very useful aquisition due to his versatlility, improved and got stronger as the season progressed, perhaps he has found his level, who knows. I liked Woody and he will be fondly remembered around York Street.

Mark Camm reminds me a little of Wes Parker, not in his style of play or anything but the fact he was an early summer signing, captained the side and arrived with a great CV. I really wanted it to work out for Cammy as he seemed a decent guy but it just never really got going for him, i kind of waited for it to happen but it never did. Maybe injuries or whatever but thanks Cammy and good luck mate.

Really pleased we don't have to defend the Evo Sick Challenge Cup! Can't think of many things in that league i will miss other than FC United.

It's a real shame we have to lose the kit we've had for the last season, in my opinion the best we've had in years. As we have to change i would rather go more "Dundee Utd" orange than BGS yellow. We did play at Wembley in a orange ish kit and also in 1987 under Ray O Brian. I'll probably buy the bloody thing regardless, although i hated the kit we had when we first entered the football league, that all gold kit with Oldrids on the front. If we're going totally retro then why not reintroduce the Paul Casey "hotpants", they really were very 80's, how did he get them up so high??

After yesterday i'm gutted but still confident we can go up. We were poor, no doubt about it, the players and managers all felt the same after the game, we just didn't seem to get going. Typical end of season stuff with the hard bumpy pitch and a strong wind, the ball was always up in the air so we never gained our momentum.

You have to credit Marine, who were never going to lay down and let us walk all over them, they stuck to their task and carried out their job. Marine i feel are a credit to non league and have been for as long as i can remember. I turned up at the ground early and was greeted with a warm handshake from the Chairman, who then let me inside the ground to look around whilst we chatted about our league and other stuff. All the fans and stewards etc were really friendly and i even travelled back on the train to central Liverpool with one who again was great company. Far from pathetic in my eyes. Nice to see John McKenna in the social club after as well, a top bloke who always has time to speak. If i were a NFU player i wouldn't relish coming down here on  Tuesay night infront of a bumper crowd. Keep the faith, our season is not dead!!!

Just about to book my train from Brighton where i'm now living, £82 return which isn't too bad i suppose. I leave at just past 7am and get back down here after 1am the following morning. All this will be well worth it if we come good on the day and get that vital win. I can't remember being this excited/nervous before Hayes or Wembley. I think we've all suffered enough in the past few years and i would love us to get out this league and give us all something to shout about once again. COME ON YOU PILGRIMS!!!!!
