I've not done this for ages and the only reason i'm doing it now is because i think it should never have been held until the end of the season.
Boston under 8's 0-3 Retford.  Attendance, who really gives a toss at this point of the season.

PS. If you asked a Retford supporter i bet they don't care either. In fact the only ones who'll enjoy this shambles are the wankers that run this league. It'll give them a chance to dress up in their blazers and ties and look really important. Rant over.  :dan

Yes well done to everyone connected with Boston United. I still remember that day at York Street when we all thought it was the end of the road. Now we might not be out of the woods but at least we have a club to be proud of. The Chairman has been fantastic, if i met him i'd shake his hand and say thank you. The Management have done us proud, none of the crap we were used to before. Now a big thank you to the players, everyone of them have played a part this season, all of them deserve a big pat on the back.

The last time i watched United play at Marine a certain Chris Cook was playing up front. Marine expected to win the game and to be honest so did i.  Well, Cookie scored i can't remember how many now but i'm certain he got his 150Th goal there and we won i think 4-0. Lets hope for a similar score line next Saturday.  ;)

I'm sorry, but I can't believe that people are still moaning after the season we're having. Bird had a good game away at Hucknall, and been pretty solid in the two home games.

Absobloodylutely! This must be the best side we've had since we were dumped out of the league. If the managers ever read this site they must wonder what the fook they have to do to please some people. The lads only young, he's big strong and naturally left footed, he's played what, two, three games. If people really want to see a left back make a 40 yard pass and drop it on the foot of team mate, i'd say they'd have to pay a lot more that £10 £12 to get in!

Question is, will George Doors be making an appearance and if he is, will he be with his new found friends in the town end?  ;)

For years i've sat in the main stand but owing to money matters i now shift between there and Spain road. I was amazed to hear the moans about Danny Sleath and Danny Davidson. Sleath has popped up with some cracking goals this season. He plays in one of the most demanding positions on the pitch, that of the holding midfield. Yes i know he has Church there but i think he still works his socks off. Danny Davidson is never going to be a 'quick' player, he's up there to give the opposition defence grief and hopefully score goals. Probably yesterday wasn't one of his best games he's ever had for us but the lad tries his best.
All match i could hear, he should of done that, he should have done this. The thing is, if either of them could do half the things they were asking of them, neither of them would be plying their trade here they'd be playing at an higher level.
Hopefully next season they will be, with Boston United!  :)

True, i thought they were a hardworking uncompromising side. Not sure about their pen, i couldn't see from where i was stood. Not sure about our pen, couldn't see that one either!   :D

What a finish!! Second half we could of had a couple more, the keeper made some good saves. First half i thought we were poor to be honest, very sluggish and gave the ball away far to often. Again it seems the players have to receive a bollocking at half time from the managers to get their fingers out. I was hoping to get home and see that BPA had lost, they were 4-2 down at half time, what a sickener to see the them win 4-6.

I really think Pearson has been fantastic, like others on here i'm sure he'll go on to better things. Looking back at the season now there's not many that's been playing first team football that's really let us down. The Chestnuts should be getting something from us for putting us back on the radar and for cleansing the club. H&S should be getting something for turning this club around and making us feel proud of the football we see each week.  I'm not sure who i'll vote for really, Church for getting stuck in every week, Sleath for his hard work and then popping up with some cracking goals. DD for his goals and putting him self about, when was the last time we had a centre forward who stood up to defenders. I really think this year will be one of the tightest for Player Of The Season we've had in years.  In fact all we need is one big prize and that's moving up a league.  :)

Soon be time to get voting. The last couple of seasons i've thought is it worth bothering! This year though i think it will be a close thing, there are plenty to choose from. All the strikers for a start, two midfielders could be in for it, also a very young centre half could be in with a chance too. Anyone got any suggestions?
