Lets hope that he is better than most of the other good signings this year. Good luck to the lad

Absolutely agree champs. If we have a good winning team people will go but I fear that if we are served up similar to what we have currently then I think we will see  gates nearer to 700.

thank you pilgrim 86 for your wisdom. As a Spurs fan as well I am aware of how long a stadium takes, although obviously not quite on their scale. The point was that we get very little info and I thought the idea for moving was to get us on a better financial footing and the longer it takes the further away from this we get and build costs will only increase.

I assume that we have permission to continue at York Street ad infinitum , perhaps you are aware Pilgrim 86?

Thanks yc69. So done about enough for us to not lose planning permission then. I  can see us being at York Street for a few more seasons yet at this rate.

We are now nearing end of November and no signs of work starting . I believe the chairman said it would definitely start this year if so leaving it late. Seems to me we could be at york street for a few more seasons . Anybody have any up to date news.

Having followed this club for in excess of 50 years I think today was one of the lowest points I have felt because of the poor quality we are being served up with and hearing the manager not being critical. When he first arrived he was very honest in his summing up but feel that he now is trying to cover his own backside.

Well just about had time to gather my thoughts.
We were dire today . No passion or ideas any where. Feel sorry for Ben Davies only decent player we have.
I am afraid that Mr Elliott is living on borrowed time. His passion has also disappeared listening to his interview where he seems to settle now downright mediocrity.
We are only going one way in the table and that's downwards unless something is addressed quickly.

I can totally see where you are coming from yc, however I think we have to stick with CE until end of the season unless we get dragged into trouble, which the way the league is this year could happen.

We pay good money for admission and should expect effort and a little skill from our team management , which at the moment we are only getting from about 3 players. If we settle for mediocre then gates will fall , possibly back to the days of 600, and it will be very difficult get back as we are finding out already.

In my opinion the turnover of players is contributing to poor team spirit and hence erratic results.

We had a great opportunity to get somewhere this year but sadly we are not taking advantage of it.

I think we will finished nearer bottom than top but really hope not.

Another defeat, another blank up front. See who got a hatrick for Oxford city v Tranmere . Did we let him go too soon.
Desperately need a creative midfielder, though it would mean the roundabout keeps spinning

I think that we will struggle to score goals with anyone up front because Craig seems to be very conservative in his tactics and unless we can find someone with a conversion rate of over 70% of chances to goals (not much hope) our scoring record will not improve much.

We seem to be set up to get better results away from home. So it may be that if we want to see the best of our team we need to get on the road.

Nobody can dispute Greggs effort prior to his injury, but not the same player since. He was never blessed with great skill unfortunately and if we have ambitions to get out of this league upwardly then we need players of a better level than smithy.
Hopefully he can settle at Tamworth.

Not sure he has acquired cult status with us, not with us long enough and not a good enough player.

Trouble is it's about time the revolving door stopped and we got a settled team. The top sides have a settled team only bringing people in when absolutely necessary.
The major signing of players should be done pre season and not just to make numbers up.

Still not convinced at by Willis at all.

Over the years we have been blessed with some very good goal keepers , but the last decent one was Bazzer in my opinion.

Keeping is a specialised position and making use of a specialist scout may be money well spent before we get any more dodgy ones.

I agree ghm that we are weak in a few areas and very few would get into brackleys  team. Think we missed a trick in not signing mcsheffrey and virtually everybody I stand with have been saying from the start of the season we need better centre backs and still think the keeper position is not solved.
