Think this web site and worryingly the club is becoming very divided.
The reasons for this I believe are having poor quality served up at home week after week. A manager who says that he is learning but clearly isn't e.g. signing a player with 7 games left who clearly isn't match fit!!!!
And finally a lack of any progress with ground as promised.
Crowds will be down very quickly next season if status quo is maintained. Less incentive for Mr Newton to progress the ground.
H ave not been so worried since we attended the meeting on that Sunday morning.

I am not looking to achieve anything by quitting the forum tep. I am quitting because people such as yourself do not have respect for others who do not agree with your point of view.

There seems to be a few holier than thou contributors on this forum at present and they will not allow realistic views or comments to differ from their own blinkered views.
I will no longer contribute to this site and with more than 60 years of following this team am seriously contemplating giving up going to matchless I question our real intent going forward.

Some thoughts for going forward
Forge links with more local clubs such as peterborough Lincoln Grimsby Scunthorpe Nottingham forest Notts county leicester etc.
Appoint a full time fundraiser for the club who should be worth their weight in gold if they are good at there job.
Look to use the stadium for more events / concerts?.
We just seem to be stagnating at the moment. I know it's not easy but if we don't try to push forward we will die

And that just about sums things up. There are a number of people on here seem  to accept what we have and the level we are at. Unless the club soon starts to show real ambition to get out of this god forsaken league the gates will be averaging nearer 500 and the new ground will get further and further away.

Think the chairman must be pulling his hair out and getting really frustrated.

Well pilgrim 86 I wish I were as easily pleased as you. I think those that have signed already including Willis shows a lack of ambition as they have in the main struggled this year in a mediocre league at best.

I have said on here before that this has been a very disappointing season and have not felt entertained by hardly any home games this season.

Can only hope things are better next.

I will grant you he has made some good saves but I have seen his errors too. His positioning is questionable at times, he very rarely come to collect a cross and gets beaten numerous times by shots outside the box.

Not in same class as Mal White, Gerry Stewart, Paul Bastock  Ravas  etc.

Have to disagree pilgrim 86 . Cannot believe many of the better teams in this league would give Willis a starting place. We have been fortunate over the years to have been blessed with good keepers and he is nowhere near their level.

Am somewhat bemused by this signing. Thought we have ample forwards on the books for what's left of this season, thought our greater need would be a couple of decent centre backs and in my opinion a decent keeper. ( looking forward to next season)

I think a number of us appreciate it's not all about winning but it is about being entertained and home games this season have not delivered in the main. Not  sure Craig is learning a lot or quickly enough. Time may run out for him.

One of our conversations yesterday was that Craig is a lucky manager because we felt that our chairman must have thought about sacking him a number of times this season and then he goes and gets a result that gives new hope. One of these times his luck will run out. Falling gates as a result of lack of entertainment cannot last. We desperately need to have a positive display to cheer and not wait until we go behind before we put effort in.

I am sorry to say but I don't think Craig is learning much at all and is even starting to have a go at fans. A slippery slope I fear. I worry about the players he has tied up for next year as they are mediocre at best this year not much hope for better next. Will be interesting in season ticket sales. A number around me have already said that they are not renewing theirs.
