Thanks Mel. Gutted to say I still have two straight reds and will be missing the Fylde trip as well. Timing could only be worse if we get through to the final. I have a die hard Kiddie fan colleague at work. She's been a Harrier for 30+ years. Said to me Boston deserved to win on Thursday. Fair play in thought. Enjoy a bid day out tomorrow all.

Excellent resume Mel. Thanks to Mick for some hard work in getting the bus together. Truly appreciated and what a day out it was. See you all Thursday

With you Mel...I'll be there too next Saturday (unless get Covid from the oh so crowded Ellenders with that massive crowd, 400 of whom won't be back for extra helpings of that football feast). This was woeful, embarrassing and thoroughly complacent. Miracles do happen but rarely for us. Despite my affection for some stellar individuals several of whom are on crutches at present, and some who are on loan, my retained list of permanents is very small. Feel so sorry for the Chairman and even for Paul Cox.

I spoke to a pro ref. Law 12: If an offence involves contact, it is penalised by a direct free kick.
• Careless is when a player shows a lack of attention or consideration when making a challenge or acts without precaution. No disciplinary sanction is needed
• Reckless is when a player acts with disregard to the danger to, or consequences for, an opponent and must be cautioned
• Using excessive force is when a player exceeds the necessary use of force and/or endangers the safety of an opponent and must be sent off

Whether the goalkeeper was careless, reckless or excessive seems to be a matter of interpretation (connection with the ball is irrelevant he told me). If any of those are judged I think it constitutes a contact offence. It would be penalised by a direct free kick, becoming a penalty in this case inside the box. The only conclusion I can come to is that the ref did not interpret their goalie's actions as careless or worse.

3-1 to the referee. But with better quality officials it would still have been 3-1, with Fylde down to 10 men. Errors and slopiness at the back. Huff and puff but no real show from an ever wasteful striker and one who's only really any good at headers. We'll make the play offs alright. But some summer sorting required.

A classy and determined performance today from a defence and midfield who seemed determined to concentrate for 93 minutes (not 83) and a forward line who seemed determined to run at the opposition and create pressure on a supposedly near invincible back line. Only Sereki seemed perhaps a little below par, but that might of been the lack of service to him, especially in the first half. The result was there for all to see and much deserved. I haven't felt this good after a match since home to Kettering. Now on Friday PC puts Hanson on and bingo moments later he scores; today he did exactly the same with Fergie. A great spectacle for the travelling faithful. Dare to dream......

I felt the major difference was that GH were well drilled and had established 'go-to' routines. For example, whenever one of their players was on the ball they barely needed to look up to know where 2-3 supporting options were to release the ball to. Similarly when we were in posession there was no hesitation in their ranks knowing who's job it was to press in that particular situation (and usually 2-3 of them). They created overload after overload. We weren't outclassed IMO but they had a roughly 0.5 second advantage every time.

The sad lack of reaction on this forum (including my own BTW) to the loss at Kiddy says more than the result itself. That I think many of us (rightly or wrongly) feel resigned this season to a pattern of decent efforts at home and mainly wins, but almost inevitable losses on the road, at whatever level of opposition we play (e.g. Morpeth, GTFC, Stratford).
