He got about 40 minutes at County today in 2nd half. Was Grimsby's stand-out player by a country mile and his long range effort from o/s the box narrowly tipped over by the County GK. But overall Grimbsy a poor side and even wouldve fancied Boston against them.

I am renewing my season ticket (and for the entire family) for next year at the earliest opportunity. This is to help the club's finances and give the Chestnuts a known budget for next year. However, I have to say my heart is not in it for the first time in 19 years. And....if we are still in this dire cycle of excuses and limp performances, lacking character and committment by Christmas, I will have gone to the Posh (easy for me as my mum lives there). No doubt will get a beasting for saying this, but just being honest.

I will be present as ever at York St. But TBH whilst the Pilgrims should win this at a canter I am just too fed up with this side to predict a score. Many of us have seen them utterly capitulate/lose interest/ self-destruct half way through a game that I am refusing to predict this as a gesture of passive resistance to an awful, thoroughly forgettable, miserable season. I hope a lot of these players aren't with us next season, including a good handful of those who (regrettably) we have already signed so they can continue to add to our misery until April 2020.

As a gesture of passive resistance (and frustration) I may vote for the player with the least minutes on pitch all season. Can anyone tell me who that is?

A pretty poor first half IMO when we really missed Allot's presence up front and had no alternative target man, and in general we lacked bite. George might well have done better with the second free kick and not let it come loose but our defenders were sluggish, did not cover adeqautely, respond quickly enough to the loose ball and allowed York to finish the job. Very much the same in second half until Clare came on and provided some instant presence up front and someone to play off. Result: and almost instant goal. Wright's equaliser was sublime. After that either side could have nicked it. Cresswell??? Hmmm. Seemed slow in reactions and physical movements. Not an improvemement, but maybe lacking match fitness. Looked chin-strapped when CE took him off after he'd been 'done' by their left winger twice in quick succession.George Smith impressed again.

Craig's interview was refreshingly honest on BBCRL. "Not quite good enough. A mid-table team this year." also "I've learned a lot this year" (= I didn't really get the squad selection quite right and it's taken me time as a manager to realise what kind of players are needed to thrive in NLN.) Always next season...
