Mike Emery at St Neots. Gatter signing for Gainsboro it seems. See Batch dropping down the pecking order. Hear there are a few sides monitoring this. Decent player

Hear Jan yeomans has only been offered a 3 month contract. Bit of a kick in the teeth for the lad in my view. Improved quickly after coming in last season and did well in a struggling side. Probably means he'll be gone by xmas which is a shame

It's a job. Just like your job and my job. Granted it's a great job but footballers don't always like their work as much as you think so are out to get what they can.

So if you were offered double the money for doing the same job you'd knock it back?

Clubs treat players like shit when it suits them to do so. This helps make players selfish and I don't blame them

They have a short earnings window so good luck to em

If Boston suddenly got wealthy backers we wouldn't be complaining

the moaners are like a cancer. gets on my nerves. some people are never happy. just relax and enjoy the football. if you don't like it don't go to games. the club would be better off without you

Did well after coming back from loan apart from having a shocker at Curzon Ashton but the tactics that day from AM were embarrassing it has to be said. A day best forgotten. Brown has had a decent career. Good luck to him for the future

Kind of what I was suggesting in a way re change for the sake of it. Ross was improving is younger than Gw and is likely to improve further. Time will tell. With the merry go round of keepers in this league who knows if ross and gw will change shirts! Funny old game

GW stated he'd come to Boston to be number one cos he wasn't happy being sub at Gainsboro where he lost his place and couldn't get it back

It is my assumption therefore that he must have been guaranteed our shirt or he wouldn't have come

Not convinced GWs arrival isn't change for the sake of change. Time will tell of course

He's 23 now. Would be very surprised if, having had a decent season with Alfreton, he would go to a club where we wasn't going to be number one

Disappointed to lose him. From Xmas onwards I thought he was one of our better most consistent players. Along with Rollins and Durrant I felt he put in some decent performances when the chips were down and all three will be missed I think

we have to accept we are not as big a club as they are now. despite our history and their lack of it, we can't compete with them on wages and prospects for players currently

so pidge has decided we're not the right club for him right now. good luck to him but remember football is fickle. even players we hold in high esteem like pidge garner etc have no loyalty to us, they look after themselves. that is football at this level. fans are very quick to dismiss players who try their hardest as 'not good enough' 'not commanding enough' 'not hard working enough' so if you give out this kind of opinion, don't expect players to be loyal. they have bills to pay like the rest of us and largely aren't bothered about who they play for. those days are gone

so when we applaud someone whoit is reported laughed at gregg's broken leg maybe think twice as few players give two f~~~s about fans

Willis is no better than Ross was.

singh is no better than what we let go. fabian speiss is a better bet in my view. released by alfreton. hear we're in for george willis from gainsboro though but he made an error for our first goal over there on NYD and singh dropped a routine cross for our equaliser in the 2 2 draw

my hunch though is AM will recruit an old pal with football league experience

all players in conf north, apart from those still involved in play offs will more than likely stop after the last saturday of the season

i understand george willis, the keeper who kept goal against us for trinity over xmas twice, is talking to boston. he did ok against us and has decent pedigree via sheff u and england u18 but made an error for our first goal up there on NYD. not convinced he's any better then what we've let go. subsequently lost his place to tom nicholson as they escaped relegation

their gaffer dave frecklington was rewarded with a new 2 year deal after winning just once in 12 games. i can see them struggling again

money wise, i think we pay about average, but there is much more money on offer with some of the more aggressive evostik clubs- just shows you the issues we're up against in recruitment terms. don't underestimate how hard it is to get players to come out here because of geography too

it will be interesting to see who we get. i'm betting on a serious 'old pals act'

there is no chance of a top 5 finish while the manager continues to build his team round the best midfielder in the league

we need energy and athletiscism in the middle of the park
