Just looked up the side from AMs first game at FCUM just over 10 months ago. It was

Boston (4-1-2-1-2): Ross Durrant; Kalern Thomas, Josh Robinson, Joe Maguire, Ben Gordon; Charlie Gatter; Callum Chippendale (Ben Clappison 36), Lewis Hilliard (Lamin Colley 77); Marcus Marshall (Jason St Juste 88); Jay Rollins, Gregg Smith. Subs (not used): Waide Fairhurst, Michael Emery (gk).

For all the chopping and changing I can't see the side is any better now than it was then. The above were better than the sum of their parts. Current side looks much better on paper but it clearly isn't as they don't play as a team

Can the club seriously allow AM to make any more flawed decisions? His track record doesn't suggest he knows what he's doing does it. Talk is cheap

Eventually any sports team takes on the personality of its manager

This has happened to Boston

Dour, dull, uninspiring - a collection of decent individuals but not a team

No better than last seasons team despite massive investment

Results speak for themselves

Suppose another couple of players more will come in next week

Christ knows how high the wage bill is now

Don't think Chorley are full time. And doubt their wage bill is bigger

Hemmings rumoured to be on 800 a week! Even allowing for inflation by Chinese whispers he'll be on 600 with best midfielder in league picking up similar

I would suspect that, aside from the full time clubs, that Boston's wage bill is the highest in the league

Yet the football is so 'basic' compared to other teams

How big does the squad need to be for christs sake? Every week more and more players come in and nothing changes. There must be 25 players on the books. Wage bill must be massive yet there's still no settled side. Bizarre

Great judgement of a player from AM

When Cowgill arrived we'd beaten a load of clubs to get him, he's a great talent etc etc

Sound familiar?

Can't see Boston going down by many a mile. Will stay up comfortably  Relegation talk is, in my view, premature

However, given the investment in on and off field matters, mid table at the very least has to be the target. Whether mediocrity will be enough to save the manager remains to be seen but i think this side will finish smack bang in the middle of the table. Not much better than last season though and that was achieved with a much cheaper and some say less good squad. More i think about this i think last season's players may have been worth a longer look

Saturday is largely irrelevant. Expect a win and clean sheet. Only issue I can see is conceding early which will bring nerves

Players are under lots of pressure from the sideline. Manager shouts instructions almost all the time. Maybe leaving them alone to get on with it might help

Clearly though, he doesn't know his best team. Chopping and changing makes it hard for lads to form partnerships

Won there 2 nil last season with the players everyone keeps saying weren't good enough

At least they were cheap cos this lot aren't

Team that day was

Boston (4-3-3): Ross Durrant; Kalern Thomas, Nat Brown, Tom Batchelor, Ben Gordon; Charlie Gatter (Marcus Marshall 58), Joe Fitzpatrick, Shane Clarke; Jay Rollins, Richard Brodie (Karl Hawley 75), Alex Simmons (Callum Chippendale 60). Subs (not used): Lewis Hilliard, Joe Maguire.

So there can be no disputing this is Murrays team now can there?

The effort by the best midfielder in the league to prevent goal five about sums him up

Overnight stays, new training base/ regime, paying money for players, plus shelling out big wages but no better off than this time last season

To me, it looks like a talented bunch of individuals not playing as a team. Lots of arm waving shouting and finger pointing without any end product

Definitely won't go down but play offs seem a long way away. Like many I fear the blind faith AM shows in his skipper will cost him his job

Don't kid yourself Boston have no money to compete. That line is utter bull. Murray has players on 600 plus a week

Disagree with comment about 'last years team would have crumbled'

Last year we went there and were cruelly beaten at the last kick after a spirited display. Kiddy were miles better last season than this so how can the comment be right
