Does the manager know what he's doing?

Two examples:

1) Smith was surplus to requirements - but now back

2) Willis dropped and not deemed good enough. Then made skipper

All seems a bit strange to me. Budget keeps going up and up. Not much progress in the last two seasons as far as I can see

The budget is big. The signings are marquee. But still the blend is all wrong. The board have backed Elliott as they did Murray. He didn't deliver despite a lot of sound bites. Hopefully Elliott will. There's less BS from him than Murray who was a BS genius so hopefully time will tell

He's going to be on big ££££ so you might be right. Not point having expensive bench warmers

Really expected Margetts to tear sides up at this level. What are people's views?

The budget must now be absolutely massive

Great backing from the owners. There can be no more of this 'such and such are buying the league' stuff we've seen on here in the past though. The Boston budget must be right up there with the highest payers in the division who aren't full time so top 6 budget demands a top six finish

Their manager is a strange guy. Left both Forest and Notts under clouds. Talks a great game but never lasts very long anywhere. Maybe that's why player numbers are low? Anyway, that's not Bostons problem. Should be a good test

Ilkeston had similar problems a couple of years back. They couldn't pay the leccy bill and tried to run it off generators with disastrous results. Several floodlight failures
, no power to the social club, alarms tripping out every time supply failed. If non payment of bills is an issue it usually escalates. Go knows what fate awaits them. Hope it's ok for the long suffering fans

Who do people prefer in goal? Parkin has stated he wants to be number one but Willis is more experienced

Pete. Big money is being paid out - make no mistake

I reckon the budget will be top half. 600 a week is a lot of money for this level which other posters suggest the strikers are on. Add Arnold to this as he's bound to be on top money too

There will also be a few on 2 or 3 hundred but I think the wage bill will be above average

Probably 500 ish. That's about what a player of the calibre of both these two commands at this level

Both are really good signings and a statement of intent. Well done to the board for finding the cash. If Margetts stays fit it's an awesome strike force - as good as anything in the division. Backed up by the undoubted quality of Arnold too. Can't see there being a problem with the 'goals scored' column

Great signing. Him and Margetts should be deadly

The Boston fans who were moaning about other clubs playing big money to attract players will have one less thing to moan about now though and the realists who said 'we wouldn't moan if we were able to throw big wages about' have been proved to be realists!

These lads will be on big big money. Credit to the board for backing the manager in the transfer market. Let's hope they deliver the goods

I agree with you Pete

It was ok before - now it might not be. But, by the same token, we don't know what it would have been like if the vote for change hadn't happened

Everyone's entitled to their opinion. Doesn't mean anyone's right or wrong either, that's what reasoned debate is all about

I just hope our great country remains great in its new guise. Time will tell

And the Leave Campaign has just been fined for overspending on its ad campaign too I think

Lies and breaking the rules. Quality organisation eh?

If this all goes t**ts up as it may well done it'd be worth remembering that when we voted to come out things weren't really that bad. But it's a vote for change I guess

Interesting times ahead
