TEP

No doubt he is decent but I reckon he'll be on top top money and for that money we maybe could do better?

My biggest concern is we have to go  451/ 433 if he plays and that limits us

I have no doubts AM will offer him a deal though as he is a favourite and all managers have favourites despite saying they don't

Of those left now after 7 releases and loanees going back I would only keep Adams Hawley Batchelor Thomas  Durrant Yeomans

Burgess Roberts and Pepe to be given pre season chances plus Smith Broadhead and Vince already signed

Looks like Rollins on his way anyway

Would you keep him?

Based on what I've seen I wouldn't. Doesn't look fit and hasn't done much

I think the fact he is an automatic pick means we have to play 3 central midfielders as he's not mobile enough for 4 4 2

On another note I thought yesterday's formation was a car crash. It's all well and good the manager banging on about the players not being good enough but the formation was his creation. No wonder we look like a poor side. We just got nicely settled defensively then he changes it all. Sure errors from Batch to lose his man got goal one, then sloppiness from Nat and Hilly for 2 and 3 didn't help, but the way we lined up was alien to the players. Too much tinkering for me

i agree with youngchubby

ross is probably the youngest keeper 'owned' by a club ie not a loan from a pro club, and playing regularly at this level. he has improved during his 20 odd games with us and will continue to do so in my view. singh is decent but in my view, no better than what we have. let's not forget young payne either, he's had an excellent season at youth level and so in the two of them we are well set up in the GK department to go forward. he's not ready to play at this level yet so if anything happened to ross i think a loan would be needed but the two of them are both promising.  i would be very surprised if murray goes for singh

don't forget singh's last act at york street was to drop a cross to allow us to draw the gloucester game!

think rollins is leeds/ bradford based. therefore a lot of travelling for home games and the sleaford training sessions

full time at step 2 could mean halifax harrogate (i think) salford york (if they come down) not sure about north ferriby/ southport plus there are sides like guiseley barrow blyth to name but a few could also compete for his signature

if i were a betting man i'd think it's the last time we'll see him in a boston shirt at york street. can't blame him. he's been a decent servant but if he can earn more money nearer home then good luck to him. footballers at this level have to think of themselves as clubs soon bin them off when it suits

my guess is he will be one of our higher earners. there are lots of decent players around for the right money so let's not worry too much about it. just trust AM to use his connections and get us a suitable replacement in if he leaves and i wish jay all the very best for the future if he does go. that is just the nature of football at this level i'm afraid

i like chapman as a leader. his communication is good and he helps the other players to keep their shape which is the benefit of playing at a higher level i guess

my concern is more around the formation we play. unless we are chasing a game we seem to be set up 4 5 1 which is fairly negative. i don't feel chapman has the legs to play in the middle of midfield in a 4 4 2 which, in my view somewhat limits our formation options

that said, 4 5 1 can easily become 4 3 3. for example if we had say mani with rollins and briscoe either side of him that's fairly attacking so it is possible to be adventurous if he wants to be

chapman looks like being the first name on the team sheet if fit so we have to live with this and hope AM gets the right players to go 4 3 3 and improve our 'goals for' column. defensively we have very few issues. much better than it was so let's see what the recruitment process brings

i think we have much to look forward to. cautiously optimistic

these are just my thoughts. but interested to know other peoples views of course it isn't up to me though!

I WOULD RELEASE

hilliard fairhurst maguire clarke st juste wildin marshall bishop and chippendale

I WOULD GIVE THE FOLLOWING A CHANCE IN PRE SEASON BECAUSE OF INJURY

pepe roberts burgess

THE FOLLOWING LOANEES FATE MAY BE DECIDED BY PARENT CLUBS SO NOT OUR CALL

mani robinson gatter

I AM 50/50 ON KEEPING

gordon briscoe brown and emery (he may just want to play somewhere rather than sub up)

AND WOULD OFFER TO RETAIN

thomas rollins yeomans durrant batchelor chapman adams hawley (in dual coach/ sub capacity) payne (as GK cover as he will improve). of course we already have vinno gregg and broadhead tied down

of course some of those who we offer may not want to stay. but these are just my views. let me know yours fellow pilgrims. great support yesterday by the way people. big congrats to those drumming/ singing- made for a fine atmosphere

most posters have a common  theme ie we just lack punch

i didn't think fylde were as good as kiddy but they have the resources to pay people a grand a week which we don't have

we weren't too bad. pen was nailed on. tommo just dived in. waiting to see highlights because the second goal looked 3 or 4 yards off side to me. will stand corrected if wrong of course

third goal was a really good finish too but they've really only had about 5 chances and taken 3 of them. that's the difference. jay had a decent chance from the header but missed a sitter

my long term concern is over our lack of ambition. if chapman is to play we need to play 4 5 1 as he hasn't got the legs for 4 4 2 so we're going to be a 4 5 1 side unless he gets the right people for a 4 3 3

we've got a decent base for a squad. with 3 or 4 more we'll finish top 10 but i think we're miles away from top 5 unless a massive overhaul comes

batch takes a few strides to get going but that's because he is eight feet tall

once he gets going he's not slow i don't think. puts a great shift in and is a real leader on the pitch. of the lads AM has brought in i think he has recruited very well. ross is steady and only young for a keeper (21) at this level. he will get better, chappy and briscoe bring great experience and yeomans has been an inspired recruitment decision. he will also improve with games. broadhead gets though an immense amount of dirty work and can play centre half as well which has benefits long term

mani is settling in well too. colby has struggled a bit but it's not easy up there as a lone striker. bringing vinno in has been a good call too

in summary there is loads to be positive about i think. we can beat fylde on saturday believe me. fingers crossed

they will be very nervy. if we can get amongst em early on the nerves will only increase

they have big players on big money. some reputed to be earning over a grand a week. so they have high expectations

one thing is for sure, AM will do his homework so i'm gonna stick my neck out and go for 0 0

we definitely need a midfielder who can pick a pass- like the long haired lad who played for kiddy. he was excellent

gregg's return to fitness will be a real boost. i'd just love us to play 2 up top - we carried so much more threat late on today when karl came on. why not try mani and jay. i reckon  that would be great

a proper winger would be good too. one who can dribble in confined areas. simmo hasn't done it for me
