I hope we get awarded some penalties. The way things have looked it may be the only way we will score any goals. Hopefully things will change. We struggled last season to score goals in open play and this season has started out the same way.

Their No 2 started the fracas with a tackle on Jay. He had not been punished or even spoken to on at least three previous occasions for his tackles and so came to believe he could get away with anything. In rugby the ref is the boss and discipline  is the key. The ref knows what a foul is. It’s about time some of rugby’s methods were adopted. Same thing applies to members of the crowd who shout foul and abusive language language at management and staff in front of youngsters in the crowd. Respect and self discipline is sadly missing by some supporters. Did you know that you never have had to even kick a football in your entire life to qualify as a ref.
I have just had a word with myself and found it was like looking for hair growing on the palms of your hands, a waste of time.

In my mind only one person on the pitch responsible for the sending offs and that was the idiot in black on an ego trip thinking he knows what he’s doing. A refs job is to try and keep 22 players on the pitch at the end of a game. If he had taken control re the fouls, not been biased towards Leamington in the first half, booked their No 2 earlier for his fouling things might have been different. He had no idea who to send off and was always going to send  equal numbers of players off from both sides to maintain equality. What a plonker.
Having said that , what a fantastic win by the best team we have had for a few years who worked their socks off and were well appreciated by the vast majority of the crowd. Each and everyone of them should be amazingly proud of what they achieved tonight. Craig has definitely learned a lot from last season and put together a great squad. Cannot and will not single out any one player because it was a great team effort.
One final thing, there is no way I would have shaken that idiot refs hand, except as a decoy move to distract him from a swift knee in his nuts.

Things look promising for this season. Players look in good condition and chase everything. Tuton looked a very good player and a must have. Greens goal was well taken, should do wonders for his confidence. Amuses me how many of our players have beards. Thewlis excellent, great to see a forward playing for us who knows where the goal is, so different to last year. Rollins playing in his proper position is brilliant.

Last season Rollins was still getting over his injury but last night he looked back to his normal self. I think Middleton got  frustrated with their players, one in particular, not being penalised by the ref for their fouls. I know it’s no excuse but that’s the refs fault for not doing his job.
The big guy with no number looked as though he was in control of things, I imagine his speed would let him down though.

Entertaining game and the players looked hungry for the ball. Noticed that in the first eleven players 9 of them had beards, looked very similar. Just coincidence or a cunning plan of Craig to confuse the ref. Thought the ref would fit in well at our level of football, bloody ridiculous at times. They are all trained in the art of laughing and smiling instead of knowing what a foul is. I think VAR means Very Awful Ref. Had to have a go at him, starting the season as I mean to go on.
Well done to the players, well nearly all, well except one, for tonight’s performance. Looking promising.

I remember with a laugh the episode of Green Green Grass when the Driscoll brothers visit Boyce and Marlene. The Welsh neighbour says something and then the little Driscoll brother says “What’s that noise he’s making” ? So funny.

What the Wafula !!. CE not learnt much it appears. No season ticket for me this year. Sorry but he’s not good enough for our current position never mind the one we want to be at.
