The B-Ark / Re: Players fall foul of FA betting rules

FFS, if I was to get the job I would get rid of the lot of them that have had betting bans. They have let Elliott down, the chairman and us the fans.

We will have to wait and see if David Newton has someone lined up. Brackleys manager would be my first choice. 2nd would be Billy Heath, no one gives him enough credit, horrible team to play against and don’t think it’s all hoofball as both Ferriby and Alfreton had/have skilful players that open up defences not just lump it up to the big man. Both a Denton and Rhead type would walk into our team and imagine Elliott and Wright playing off that type of player.

It’s plain to see that our management team are out of their depth. Of the top 7 teams we have played we haven’t won any of the games, we’ve drawn 1 lost 6 and conceded 18 goals. We’ve only won 1 game against a top 10 side. I just can’t see that is anywhere near good enough.

I’ve given up, all my enthusiasm has been drained fresh me. Mid table mediocrity on its way.

Listened to Craig Elliotts after game interview and can sympathise with the players that are missing. I agree we were better in the second half but to say we were unlucky not to get something from the game is bonkers.

Lost 3-1, plus Brackley had a penalty saved and had one disallowed, it could of been 5 - 1 which wouldn’t have been unjust. Really worried that we will make the playoffs now.

Yet again we were shown wanting by a top 6 team. Abysmal first half and a little better second half.

One village team chasing promotion and the other who will struggle to make the play offs.

I admire your commitment, I’m afraid I lost faith in our management team a while ago. So negative and devoid of ideas away from home.

Woody, you summed up exactly how I felt about the game. One other thing I noticed was how our experienced players slowed down the game at the end and Byrnes foul that stopped a York counter attack was a foul that we wouldn’t have committed in times gone by.
I’ve had a real downer on the manager but if we see that type of commitment coming through the good football will follow.

I am a real doubter but I would be so happy if I am proved wrong.

In years gone by I would have never missed a game like last night but I just knew it wouldn’t end well. Elliotts away game ethos to me seems to be stay in games as long as possible and settle for a draw if we can’t pinch a goal. It’s soul destroying, I don’t like naming players  but our midfield has no creativity, Danny Elliott is one of the fastest strikers in the league but we don’t use that pace. I’m not convinced with either keeper, we seriously lack pace in central defence and apart from Leesly we are so narrow that teams can pack the centre of the field and cut off any supply to the strikers. We all see this but the manager is devoid of any idea how to then break down teams. People will say we are close to the playoffs, we are but we should be challenging for top 3 finish with an outside chance of winning the league. That will not happen with Elliott, it’s getting worse not better and that’s possibly in the region of £100,000 lost, I’m sure the board aren’t happy. I don’t know the cost of releasing people from contracts and i really don’t like people losing their jobs but myself and a few others that go have had enough of the on pitch drivel. I will be saving a few quid come the cold months if there isn’t a change.

hope Elliott won’t be serving in Ellenders, he would serve ales in wine glasses. As for seeing some shots you wouldn’t have a chance. It would be a wasted visit having good quality beers and spirits and wines etc served in wrong glasses, he wouldn’t have a clue.

Bit like what he’s like as a football manager.

I’ve been shouted down by the sycophants for a couple of seasons but I don’t believe the manager will get us promotion. Too negative, look at the good strikers that have moved on in the last few years and scored hat fulls.

Was so excited about this season but I’m rapidly losing faith again.

I have so much respect for DN and he deserves so much more on the playing side. How many pitch side coach’s do we have, would think between them they could come up with a winning formula.
