Phew!

But we're in the playoffs. good night too with Alty eventually going down 5-4 at Gainsborough.
Hopefully we'll defend better at Hednesford... at least any moans about a lack of creativity/firepower might be hushed for the time being

Still expect us to make it uncomfortable for ourselves.... but if it does go well, you'd like to think we could win convincingly... something that happened on Saturday as good as our attacking play was at times, I felt there were a few more goals there in them  final 10 mins or so. Alty have done Stalybridge 5-0 and 5-0 and their GD is now +21... ours is +11... in such a tight league, we go into the playoffs tonight with a win and it could all come down to who had a 6-0 instead of just sttling for 1 or 2-0.

But I'll settle for 1-0 wins every game if I could...

Hopefully it will get segregated, but looks quite a tidy ground- a small stand behind 1 goal and part of a sizeable terrace down one side if I'm right. Not been there before, not far from Notts, really looking forwards to it and hopefully we can beat Workington and go there having found some confidence
Expect around 150, depending on midweek result and weather though

Its about time they started making the home team forfeit the game if thy can't get a game on due to a sub par pitch. It'll make these clubs spend more money on their facilities than just piling it all into a playing squad.
Looking at that pic, how the hell did they get a game on it only 4 days ago?

Yes, his closing down forces defenders to do things they don't want to do, it sets up more chances for us. I can live with his sub-par goal tally if his work sets up goals for others

But to be honest, we more than matched them, but they took their chances and we didn't. As bad as the ref was, and he was appalling, you can't miss 2 simple headers and a penalty and expect to win away at these teams.
A pity, as the only game I've felt that we deserved nothing was Ferriby away. All the others, we should've got a point or even 3

There was a lack of creativity which was worrying as that was young and not very powerful Histon side. If ever a team would be set up to allow us to play a more passing game, they were one of them but for most parts it was frustrating.
