A whole load of huff and puff and very little quality from either side.

Missed Pidge and Mills. Felix would have had their chunky fullback all game had he been fit.  Hoo hum, Tamworth was the more important of the two games as we cannot afford our home form to let us down.
You lost fair and square. Get over yourself.

Not really a good week for Trinity's PR department...

I would say it's been an excellent week for the blues.. a big welcome to Marc.

Why? Everyone's laughing at you... your chairman is obsessed with creating PR stunts. I'd rather have a chairman who takes a back seat out of the press, except when necessary (new ground), and simply does a good job.

The best chairman are the ones you never hear of.
Personally I would prefer an honest chairman and while we're on the subject, an honest manager also.
Get my drift ?

Very sad that Marc Newsham has left the club after not being offered a contract for next season.  Top man, and a true team player.  Best wishes Newsh as you continue your playing career at GTFC. I am surethat you will be well appreciated by the manager and supporters there.
He certainly will Jack.

What 'wonder' goal ?
Those type of goals are flukes. They very really come off. It's like when people are described as heroes when they are substituted and get a last minute winning goal. The word hero is used far too often in the wrong place. Hero is a word that should only be used when someone risks his own life in order to save another.
Wonder goal, no, sheer fluke, yes.
Unless of course it had been a Boston player who'd have scored a goal like that -then it would have been a wonder goal.  :P

the same Micheal for usoeary who was really poor at Gainsborough last season ? no thanks , he has found his level now
Michael suffered with injuries in his last season with us, prior to that he was a superb captain for us and a nice guy to boot.
He will always be respected at trinity.

Just imagine if the Gainsborough fans turn up at York Street wearing that amber away shirt. They're hard enough to spot in a crowd as it is without blending in even more.

Look for the bitter n twisted ones with green eyes.
Oi..leave N40s alone.

Not only did Gainsborough play in a carbon copy of our new away shirt this pre-season... but look at the colour of their new away shirt!

Our kits this season:

Yes our kit looks much better than yours..is that what you're trying to say?

No sympathy at all, take away the backer and they'd sink without a trace back to the NCEL.

Us Stockport and Barrow are the only proper clubs in this hell hole, but you can bet some idiot will be throwing his cash at one of about half a dozen hobby clubs again this season.........sickening.
Without Mr Newton at your club it would sink to.

As for being a proper club all you are is a non league outfit like the rest of us in this league.

Mr Newton's hobby club.

Leaving us about the only proper club in the division.......

There can be no mistakes next season, we need to get out of this hell hole and back where we belong.

We still be way down the list as far as money goes, so just because we have a decent ground and a good fan base dont mean we will have a edge on anyone.

You can be sure there be 5-6 heavily bank rolled tin pots in there
But Mr Newton is bankrolling your own club isn't he?

The B-Ark / Re: Play offs
« on: May 03, 2014, 09:44:46 PM »
There is a difference between actively cutting down a loss (Newton) and bankrolling a team (Trinity under Swann, and now Ferriby/Guiseley). BUFC are in a much better financial position now, than in 2007. Are Trinity better without Swann? What will happen to NFU without their money? Look at how Histon are falling back through the leagues.

No sour grapes, it's just that football should be played on grass and not in the boardroom.

Actively cutting down a loss is just a fancy name for bankrolling a club as well you know, a wealthy individual propping a football club up is what it is.

Are Trinity better off without PS?..Financially of course not, that's obvious, but we just have to carry on.

We hope things on the pitch will vastly improve next season, with or without a sugar daddy.

[quote author=Crazy Neil link=topic=5262.msg71499#msg71499 date=1399yourselvesonOh dear, what a shame NOT..... Another team with the spend it all on promotion get nowhere just like tinpot... Wonder if a certain ex player will move on for another big payday???

We may not have got promoted ourselves but it sure is nice to put one over on the so called big boys :)
[/quote]

I don't know why you lot keep going on about teams being bankrolled, Mr Newton has bankrolled your team all season and will continue to do so.

Surely not sour grapes is it? because you couldn't even make the play-offs yourselves.

Players will always be mercenaries for money, get over it.
