The B-Ark / Re: WILL WE FAIL TO WIN AGAIN AT HOME ON SATURDAY ?

Regardless of the money situation - our club has the budget to attract the players to gain promotion from this league. Just need to find the players good enough to help us get promoted.

This week we will win our first home game!! The reason why this is because being BOSTON the average sides in this league come to our place and are happy with a draw, they sit behind the ball, spoil our play and when they're in possession they lump it up top and don't play football. This side on Saturday however will be coming to our place for a win and will look to play football. Early signs this season suggest we can go toe to toe with anyone in this division when it comes to passing it around. I'm saying a 1-0 or 2-0 win - Sleath to score

Suarez has been doing well so far in the games he has played in. He has a touch of class with him and wins the large majority of his headers which he is expected to do. One thing that has to be taken into account with the lad is that he is new to this level so he will only get better as he gets used to this level of football. He has never in his life played in front of the crowds he has done so far nor come up against the tough and rough centre halves of the Unibond Prem.

He does look fractionally lightweight but I'm sure this is something that has been addressed and is in the process of being rectified.

Still only one loss this season boys and if we can get points away from home against the other sides that will be around the top come the end of the season and make the Jakemans a fortress we will stroll this league!

We've only lost one game so far and lets have it right, that was only because our keeper had a nightmare!! Getting our home form sorted I agree is important but any team in this division will come to our stadium and settle for a point so winning every game isn't going to be easy.

As said in a previous post H&S did overhaul the team at the start of the season so if we have played like we have so far - what are we going to be like when they all gel together?!

I think the FA cup tie this weekend has come a the right time as it will deliver us with our first home win of the season

Lets be positive!! The season is a long slog and we will no doubt be at the top of it come the end!!

Ended up going to the game yesterday and was happy to see the quality of football from our boys. We were always looking to get the ball down and pass it around which was a massive contrast to the long ball football Hucknall and most teams in this div play. Missed chances was the main story for us as we could have easily been 3 up at half time. Church is class, he puts himself about and has loads of quality on the ball - he also allows Sleath to get into more advanced positions where he can be deadly! Great midfield pairing we have there! Suarez had a decent game winning most of his headers, just feel he could do with a bit more aggression. It was only a soft pen from the ref that denied us 3 points.
Overall, we are still unbeaten this season and if we carry on like that I'd be more than happy!! Its looking good!

Great result again for the Boys - the other results going our way was a bonus too!! Got high hopes for this season as the managers know what it takes to get out of this division - finding it hard not to get carried away as the players we have in this squad are of high quality too. I'm glad I put £50 on us to win the league at 16/1. Any stand out players from last night?

Church will be fine. He's a feisty player yes, but this league is so physical you need someone who is going to put it up the opposition or you won't last 2 minutes! He will pick up bookings but name me one defensive midfielder who goes a whole season without picking up numerous yellow cards?! He's only 21 too (although the website says otherwise) so he is still learning. Midfield has quality sprinkled all over it now as does the whole side - bring on FC United and the rest of the league!!

Thats right - Sleath can play central or out wide. In my opinion he is better in the middle then down the left but I'm not the one picking the team. Min 10 goals in him which isn't a bad return for a midfielder. Church is the brave man who puts himself about powerful, strong and good in the air. His distribution has quality in it - Ilkeston were absolutely gutted to lose him - roll on the season.

Sleath and Church are by far the best midfield pairing in the league. I saw alot of them last year and they made this league look like park football! Very close friends who both play for England Universitys and can easily play at a higher level. Be ready fellow BUFC supporters - big things are going to happen this year!!
