No 40 year old centre forward is going to be able to run at defenders. Even the likes of Ryan Giggs still playing at 38 doesn't run at defenders like he used to. Jason Lee can still do a job as a target man at this level and 7 goals this season from a target man isn't too bad. On the pitch he's certainly putting in 110% however I do get the feeling he's trying to be superman playing and managing and the club may do better if he focused on managing alone. Scott and Hurst could have played for us and done a job, however they may have had less success whilst they were here by diluting their time between playing and managing.

I was stood behind the goal at Eastwood when JF headed the ball past Bazza to give away a goal. I didn't hear Bazza call for the ball, did anyone else?

Canners and Lee are clearly putting in 100%, I think the effort is there. However they are inexperienced managers and still learning. Maybe they will come good in the end, the old story of looking at Alex Ferguson's first season at MU always comes to mind.
The two biggest areas we are going wrong though are the job roles of the mangers. Firstly across football joint mangers are rarely used and rarely successful, there needs to be a No1. Secondly player managers are rarely successful, Nick Barmby has just announced his retirement from playing as he has been given the managers job at Hull even though he admits he still loves to play and is still good enough to. I'll go back to Canners and Lee putting in 100%, they are putting into 100% effort into BUFC, however 50% effort into playing and 50% effort into managing.

Whilst performance on the pitch haven't been as good as last year that is only half the problem. Unemployed in Boston is rising and the £1 price rise may have put some people off.

In Jason Lee's interview after the match when asked why Semple didn't start his reasoning was that "Semple is inconsistent" and then added "so is Kirk", so play with no wingers? Don't quite follow the logic. Semple was our biggest threat when he came on against Eastwood therefore he deserved a place in the starting 11 today.
