Earlier in the week I watched the 'Pitchside Pilgrim' video from last Saturday's match where Hazel was near the start of the video going on to the pitch before the match in his training kit looking like he was going to be doing some training on the pitch before the match. Implying he's not too far away from being fit to play?

When Hazel came in we certainly looked a better side, but would be hard to drop Knowles and Mooney in the form they've been in.

Manager said last week that Mills and Leak were due back in training Monday this week so they may be available tomorrow.

The match previews on the official site these days don't tend to include which players are out injured or back, presumably to not let the opposition know.

Agree, Andy if we did get promoted from the playoffs would be a tough challenge in the league above. No surprise the current National League bottom 2 (Oxford City and Kidderminister) are the playoff winners that got promoted from North and South. The gap between leagues does look similar to that between championship and premier league. Would certainly need to strengthen if we got promoted and would see just staying up as a good season. It's where we the fans and the club long to be though so hopefully we can do it. Been a long time in this league, be nice to get a promotion and see some bigger gates and different sides. Even Tamworth top of the league didn't look that special against us, imagine they will struggle next season in the National.

Anyone found the official Gloucester video highlights online? I'd quite like to see the 7 goals.

I agree with all of the above. I have to say our captain often goes under the radar but does a brilliant job. Very very consistent is Michael Bostwick. Interesting interview with their manager who felt his team unnecessarily galvanised the home crowd with their own niggly behaviour and whilst they were still in the game. I felt Southport were as poor as we’ve seen here this season..

Yes, been brilliant recently. If that pass from Bostwick to Knowles who then hit the post had gone in then that would have gone down as an incredible assist. Did have a slip just before half time and have Southport a chance to make it 1-1 though, thankfully they didn't take advantage.

Good news our next Tues night match v Darlington selected for streaming. Looking at selected fixtures it's the better supported teams that are getting picked.

Well said Oxo. A good performance, yes Southport were one of the worst sides I've seen us play this season but we did a professional job on them.

Into the playoff positions now, let's stay in them until end of season (although we'll definitely drop out of them after Tuesday's matches with Curzon playing Alfreton. Alfreton win or draw and they go above us, Curzon will and they go above us).
