The B-Ark / Lincolnshire League XI - First Round of FA Inter League Cup
« on: September 29, 2013, 07:58:36 PM »
Congratulation to the County League Rep side who beat the Peterborough & District League XI 2-0 in Peterborough yesterday. Again, it looks like our local lads played against a disorganised side (in the Prelim Round, lazy West Yorks could only be bothered to select players from one club!) with some home nominated players apparently not turning up on time. A win's a win though and hopefully Lincolnshire can get a home tie in Round 2 :bunny :bunny

The B-Ark / Lincolnshire League v West Yorkshire League
« on: September 06, 2013, 06:02:28 PM »
Not much at moment on Club's website, but there is a match at York Street tomorrow at 3.00pm between the two Leagues' Representative sides in the FA's Inter-League Competition. Anyone know if any of our Reserves have been selected?

Don't be surprised if the Reserves get double figures tonight! This will surely be a no contest against a team that have lost their two opening games 9-2 and 5-1. Not quite sure why Lincolnshire League Committee allowed a team from Leicestershire to enter this season's competition in the first place - I suppose the name change was part of the agreement. Clearly, at this early stage, they are playing at a level too high for themselves and one hopes, for the League's sake, that Waltham on the Wolds can make their rather generous admittance to the League worthwhile - after tonight, of course! :bunny

The B-Ark / Reserves 6 CGB Humbertherm 2
« on: May 07, 2013, 11:19:43 PM »
A great end to the season for Nigel Vince's team. This was an incident packed match with 8 goals, 2 sending offs and a "mooney"! A game which was certainly value for money! CGB Humbertherm - who couldn't even name any substitutes - disgraced themselves both on and off the pitch - committing foul after foul on young Louis and Oggy - with their No8 eventually being dismissed for stamping on one of our lads, then hurling abuse at the officials, gesturing to the crowd before revealing his backside to the stand. A "Sine Die" Suspension no doubts awaits this character. He was then followed by one of the coaching staff who was dismissed for abusive language - and he too couldn't resist flicking a finger at us! Boston were 3-0 up at half time but will be annoyed at letting in 2 goals in a minute to bring the 10 men back into it - but a 6-2 scoreline was fully justified at the end!  :bunny

The B-Ark / Skegness United v The Reserves
« on: April 27, 2013, 09:59:33 AM »
If you can't get to York Street today, why not go and support a Boston United side this afternoon that HAS achieved success this season? The Reserves HAVE reached their League Cup Final and WILL finish in the top half of their table. Today they are playing the new Lincolnshire League Champions, Skegness United at Wainfleet Road Playing Fields, Skegness @ 3pm - bring your wellys though as it will be a bit muddy! Well done Nigel Vince and his team! 'Nuff said! :bunny

The B-Ark / Reserves 3 Market Rasen Town 2
« on: April 16, 2013, 11:07:19 PM »
We nearly blew it! 2 late goals from Rasen nearly undid a comprehensive win. How we only scored 3 is a mystery. Sanders with a first half goal and Liam Ogden with a second half brace plus hitting the inside of the post twice were just about enough to win this encounter. Oggy and Sam Vince need to be included in the first team squad for the final two League fixtures - they deserve their place at least on the bench (personally, I would put Vince ahead of Haystead). Shame that the Reserves have been docked 3 points this week by the Lincs League for playing a suspended player (naughty, naughty!) but at least tonight's win countered that particular deduction!  :bunny

The B-Ark / Skegness Town v Boston Utd Reserves last night
« on: April 09, 2013, 09:15:39 PM »
Reserves lost 1-0 at Burgh Road last night. Freezing and played in darkness for the last 10 mins, United created little chances apart from a good spell in the first 20 mins. Skegness Town were very disciplined and, to be fair, deserved their win. Once they had scored midway through the second half they always looked like they would hang on to their lead. A well refereed game - but the Lincolnshire League should question the wisdom of 6.30pm starts during this week. It was unfair - and unsafe - for players and officials alike to be forced to play in darkness towards the end of the game.

The B-Ark / Reserves this Saturday
« on: March 22, 2013, 07:59:44 AM »
Well done Lincolnshire League. Despite the massive fixtures pile up for April you have arranged the Reserves this coming Saturday to play............no-one!! Brilliant. Take a pat on the back. Good news though that Stoner was back playing in BUFC colours in the (belatedly advertised on the Club's website) game last night v Horncastle Town. Well done Jordan for his hat-trick. :bunny

The B-Ark / Reserves Off tonight? That's unbelievable!
« on: March 19, 2013, 06:11:27 PM »
Cannot believe that the pitch is currently waterlogged. It's not rained today in Skegness! Nice mild day. Was looking forward to seeing the 2nd string in action...........when I saw Craig's posting on the Club website! NO WAY!!!! The fixture pile up for most Lincolnshire League Clubs is getting beyond a joke. Playing 3 games a week to fit in games is just unfair and unrealistic in a competition where most teams play on public parks. Needs sorting.  :bunny

The B-Ark / The Reserves
« on: February 24, 2013, 10:19:05 AM »
Well done to Bunny and the lads for getting through to the Lincs League Cup Final with a dramatic penalty shoot out win yesterday away to Gainsborough Town. If you want to see a WINNING Boston United team for just £2.00, then why not come along and watch the Reserves play? It is always entertaining stuff! :bunny

The B-Ark / Reserves v Lincoln United Reserves
« on: February 09, 2013, 06:00:12 PM »
Great result for Martyn Bunce's Reserve team who totally outplayed their opponents, Lincoln United Reserves, today with a 6-0 win! A lot of very good youngsters and a few not so young players combined well! This side are coming together and will have a good run in to the end of the season. Sam Vince is, without a shadow of a doubt, the best goalie in the Club at he moment - it's a mystery why the inept Haystead and the dimunitive Drury are picked above him. Mark Thompson's 40 yard free-kick goal was a gem!
