The B-Ark / Mather Cup
« on: July 23, 2011, 10:57:12 AM »
Just a quick question: did Town get awarded the Mather Cup after beating our hapless band of bloody rubbish, relegation-bound no-hopers (© Farmer Dan 2011) t'other day, or has that mad shizzle now fallen by the wayside?

Grimsby site Cod Almighty offer their view of the latest Fenty vs Newton scrap. And find in Newton's favour.

The B-Ark / Out of the frying pan......
« on: March 30, 2011, 12:51:55 PM »
Apparently, a section of Grimsby fans are already booing Scott and Hurst and demanding the new managers are sacked by John Fenty.

A quick look at the Grimsby messageboard confirms some of these people have taken to the interweb to air their grievances.

Wonder what Rob Scott will make of that!?

The B-Ark / we are better than alfreton
« on: August 16, 2010, 10:14:40 PM »
Not my words, but the words of the hinckley utd keeper. High praise indeed!

Not a classic by any stretch but a nicely worked goal and we got better as the game progressed. Hope that's an omen for the season as a whole.

The B-Ark / "Spectacularly ungifted"
« on: June 09, 2010, 11:20:55 AM »
These tragic Guido Fawkes wannabes have shown much disrespect to our esteemed local Sony Award winner. And on his birthday too. How insensitive!

There is a comments feature if anyone cares to discuss the talents of our correspondent on the site itself… and in all honesty, judging from past entries, they’d probably be grateful for any kind of sign that someone is actually reading their tedious whining.

The B-Ark / GAH!
« on: April 24, 2010, 05:38:28 PM »
Just driving back from crosby now. Gutted doesn't do it justice. We didn't deserve to win that dreadful game but I was desperately hoping we could nick an undeserved goal.... but no. I hope the players will be able to pick themselves up for Tuesday. They looked devastated at the whistle.

I've already warned the other half I'm not going to be great company when I get back....

The B-Ark / Anyone able to offer a lift from Nottingham tomorrow?
« on: April 23, 2010, 12:57:41 PM »
I've got a couple of mates interested in coming tomorrow but not for the extortionate train fare - is anyone going from Notts (or vicinity) who would be able to accomodate three part-time Boston fans?

Petrol money would of course be part of the deal.

The B-Ark / Tinpot league currently in process of being pissed on
« on: April 14, 2010, 10:20:18 PM »
Thank you, and good night. That was a quality result against admittedly limited opposition. It was obvious from about the 21st second we were in for a relatively easy ride, but that shouldn't detract from a top performance. And a mini-brawl too... £8 quid well spent.

I'm starting to get a little excited now. Roll on Saturday.

Well done Boston!

The B-Ark / Boston 2-0 up already

I know I predicted 13-0, but this is ridiculous....

You can only feel sorry for Durham.

.... on production of a season ticket.

Go on, Mr Newton. Do it!

The B-Ark / Dreadful
« on: December 05, 2009, 08:02:59 PM »
Right, I give in - clearly I only get to see us on the days when we are utter, utter dogfilth. Perhaps time to just stay the hell away and let us get promoted.

We were absolutely AWFUL today, and the fact the match was officiated by one of the worst referees I have ever seen and the pitch resembled a marsh is no excuse - you could count the number of decent chances we had on..... er, well, actually, naff all because we had none.

What a thoroughly miserable afternoon.

ARRGH!

The B-Ark / Leroy Chambers
« on: November 23, 2009, 01:08:24 PM »
Can I just say a massive 'well done' to Craig for finally tracking down the legendary Leroy - he remains my favourite ever Boston player and it'll be fantastic to see him back at York Street.

It'd be good if we could also track down a video of that classic 3-0 win over Morecambe in which he was so instrumental - the goals were shown on MOTD at the time, so someone somewhere must surely have it on VHS?

Anyway, great work Craig - keep 'em coming!

The B-Ark / 2008/2009 impsTALK player sponsorship winners!
« on: August 12, 2009, 12:12:40 PM »
Well, it has taken longer than we expected, for which we offer mildly sincere and partially heartfelt apologies, but us impsTALK blokies can now finally reveal that, after an impartial draw conducted on Monday by everyone’s favourite aquamarine-wearing local sports journalist Mr Duncan Browne, the winners of last season’s player sponsorship freebies are….

…..drum roll please…..

Winner #1 – Liam Parker home shirt
DAVID HUTSON

Winner #2 – Liam Parker away shirt
RUTH ROBINSON

Well done to you both! Craig has the shirts in his possession, so you can either collect them from the club or send an e-mail to editorial@impstalk.co.uk so we can get them to you somehow.

Thanks for being patient, and thanks to everyone who donated to the cause last season. It was much appreciated, and we’re only sorry we can’t run this for the forthcoming season.

As for impsTALK itself, it may re-emerge blinking into the sunlight at some point during the season after a long period of enforced silence, but we’ve not yet decided what to do. Because we’re lazy, mainly.

See you at FCUM.

Pete
