The B-Ark / Golden Goal
« on: August 21, 2009, 09:09:47 PM »
Just a quick plug for the return of the Golden goal competition tomorrow.  Tickets from the usual places...£1 a go.

Big thanks to Ringrose Law Group who have kindly agreed to meet the overheads, meaning all money raised goes to benefit the club!

Adam, thanks for my Trust renewal notice, just one small gripe.  My membership cannot be due on 6/21/09 as there is no 21st month.

It's bad enough with those damn Yanks ruining the peace of Turnberry with incessant shouts of "Get in the hole"

Nerevs9 can ignore this post  :)

The B-Ark / Off-topic Windows 7
« on: July 17, 2009, 04:43:12 PM »
For those of you struggling with Vista or wanting a refresh from XP.....Windows 7 is out in October, is getting very good reviews in beta and will cost around £150.

However, you can currently pre-order from various places for around £44 - e.g. Currys.

It'll be fun doing the install though - thanks to the EU idiots.  You CANNOT upgrade, it has to be a fresh install....and there will be no browser included.  Make sure you copy an install file for IE, Firefox or similat before you go ahead!

....sounds like user error?  The guy had the same username/password combination for multiple systems.  how many Patterers have the same credentials for Patter and Paypal?  Your password is only as reliable as the weakest system....if Patter gets hacked as happened a while ago with the gay porn outbreak.......

I've always recommended having multiple passwords...two can be enough.  One for low risk systems such as Patter, EBay etc and another suitably complex one for high risk systems like Paypal.

Paypal now also offer a one time password solution with a Verisign token (like my Ironkey)....keeps out all unwanted transactions including the wife!

Caveat Emptor.

....logic?

If it happened, then Halifax Town would have a bit of a case?  How about sticking Farsley in division 1 and bringing Cammell Laird back?

Before the first friendly.

I am fairly sure the new management team is working hard on the starting formation. After a great deal of consideration my line up would be a straightforward 1-1-1 formation.

              Aaron Butcher

              Liam Parker

               Mark Camm

Any better ideas?????????

I'd play Liam more on the left?
