The B-Ark / Any southerners going to Durham?
« on: February 14, 2010, 08:13:44 PM »
....if you are, then check out the planes before the trains.

For the second time in my life, I'm flying to and from an away game, cos it's cheaper than the train.  Easyjet out from Stansted and BA back to Heathrow.....all for about what I pay in petrol for a home game!  Getting from Newcastle airport to Durham looks a doddle by metro and train.

Could you roughly date the photo by looking at the graves around Herbert Ingram and seeing if there are any that don't appear in the photo?

Edit - Ignore me, just realised that there are no graves there now!

Is that old hotel where M&S is now a possible clue?

The B-Ark / Re: BUSA Travel Half Price Offer
« on: December 18, 2009, 07:28:06 PM »
Just an update folks.  With the game being cancelled, BUSA will honour the offer for those who were booked to travel on the Whitby bus by giving them half price travel to Hucknall.

The B-Ark / BUSA Travel Half Price Offer
« on: November 29, 2009, 09:59:53 AM »
As a thank you to the marvelous support the coaches have received this season, BUSA are offering everybody who travels on the supporters' coach to Whitby on December 19th,  a voucher for half price travel to Hucknall on New Years Day.  The voucher is not transferable and hence must be used by the same person.

Furthermore, a mini Golden Goal will be run on the Hucknall coach only, four tickets for a pound, winner takes all.

Book your places as usual with Jan in the Sports Bar before/after home games or at the ticket office.

Apologies for the lack of the BUSA website, some little cybervandal has trashed it.  It is being rebuilt and will be back shortly.

The B-Ark / A Fooball First?
« on: November 29, 2009, 09:46:06 AM »
Discussion during the game yesterday......if KL don't finish the season and another team (like Burscough say) go the same way, remembering that Newcastle BS have already gone, could Durham be the first team not to be relegated with 0 points!  Opinion was that if that happens, then good luck to them, they've managed to fulfill their fixtures in what is a near impossible scenario.

Only real plus from yesterday apart, from a point, is that with Burscough being in a very perilous state, if they do go before the end of the season then we must have the worst record against them. Just to add that I wouldn't wish such a thing to happen to any team...just a thought!
