The B-Ark / Next Season's Opponents?

Dependent on forthcoming results, there could be quite a major geographic shake up within our league next year. We could lose Worcester and Kidderminster south of us whilst 4 northern clubs could be dropping down if Braintree win on Saturday? You would assume that Brackley and Nuneaton would be the logical candidates to drop south.....but since when has logic played a part in the process?

I work with a guy who is involved with Yaxley FC and he was a little disappointed with them losing their cup replay against Dereham last night. Guess who got sent off minutes after coming on for elbowing an opponent?

The B-Ark / Red Card Confusion

So, we seemingly had two very similar penalty incidents in the first game with different results (apart from not being scored) - one was a red card, one wasn't. The rule reads quite strange.
Where a player commits an offence against an opponent within their own penalty area which denies an opponent an obvious goal-scoring opportunity and the referee awards a penalty kick, the offending player is cautioned unless:
The offence is holding, pulling or pushing or
The offending player does not attempt to play the ball or there is no possibility for the player making the challenge to play the ball or
The offence is one which is punishable by a red card wherever it occurs on the field of play (e.g. serious foul play, violent conduct etc.)
In all the above circumstances the player is sent off.
So if you bring somebody down by slide tackling them, as long as it isn't deemed violent conduct, that's a yellow. If you pull somebody back or simply push them, then that's a red.
So perhaps the refs got these right. Stalybridge was a foul, Tamworth was a push.

The B-Ark / Where do we want to finish?

At 5.00 on Saturday, we'll be in one of three places, 4th, 5th or 6th. Clearly the latter is not the one we want to be in, but what about the other two?
Assuming that 5th will get NFU and 4th will get Fylde.......I'd much rather have Fylde as it would involve a long midweek trip for them for the first leg on Wednesday and the outside chance of a home final if we progress.
That said, I think that all three teams will win and we'll all stay as we are :-)

Picked up my ST on Sunday and just wondered......when was the last time we had to use a lettered page?

The B-Ark / Free Ticket for Leamington Game

The two Golden Goal competitions for Worcester and Tamworth both contain an extra ticket that gives the lucky winner a free match ticket for the Leamington game.....however, the Worcester one wasn't claimed on Saturday (away supporter?).
Given the tight timescale, the winner from the Worcester draw has until the 15.00 kick off on Monday to claim the ticket or the Tamworth winner will double up to cover both tickets.
See Glen, myself or any other BUSA committee member in the clubhouse before the game on Monday or let me know on here if you have the winning ticket.
