The B-Ark / Re: Vince challenged to prove he's United's no1

Kellogs are far superior to any home brand cereals

Aldi's frosted flakes are as good as Kellogs Frosties, but what this has got to do with Vince being challenged to be our first choice keeper is beyond my comprehension1 :D

I disagree hims being 'mediocre' - he's a very good striker, not one of the world's best, but when played in the correct position, he plays well and scores goals.

Can we play Sturridge, Rooney and Sterling together in the same team? They all like to roam around.

By "mediocre" I meant in terms of the world cup compared with the likes of Van Persie, Benzema. Kroos etc.    Our main problem lies in the number of English players in the Premier League in relation to the foreign players, a stat in the Sun today shows that in 2013-2014 season 174 English players as opposed to 387 Foreign, that just about says it all!!!!

For all the talk about Rooney, it's proved he is just a mediocre striker and not world class, but, sadly, he's the best we've got :-[

They trialled this at a youth tournament last year, I thought then that it was a good idea, the refs also marked where the ball should be so it couldn't be moved forwards.

its getting the balance right our many POODLES to bring in from the south and our many ROTTWEILERS from the north.

I remember in the late 60s ..early 70s the Club took part in 'The Eastern Professional Floodlight league  (or something)
It meant two (almost)  1st team  games a week for Aug/Sept at least and maybe late season months as well .
Would like to see something like that inplace again ..games were very watchable .. gave a run out to all the squad players/triallists /etc..and gates were usually well over a thousand  at YS .!.
I remember watching many or them early doors .

Used to love going to see the matches under lights, it seemed a completely different atmosphere, and yes the crowds were big 'cos there was still time to go to the pub after the match, what better way to finish a days work? :)

If ASDA offered me a bottle of whiskey (with no guarantee of quality) a week for £5 a week for 6 months, so long as I paid in advance, I'd snap their bloody hands off!
