The B-Ark / Re: Boston: officially a crap town
« on: July 15, 2013, 04:36:47 PM »
Back to the subject of "Crap Town", Boston is not a crap place there are for example some really cracking buildings like the Stump and Fydell House for example.

The problem is that a lot of the inhabitants who do nothing but have a small town mentallity of moan, moan, moan. The long term useless complain about jobs, well get off your butt, smarten yourself up and look, there are jobs out there.

Complaing about the immigrants will change nothing, just accept they want to work and most of you lot don`t.

Have some pride in the town, rather than complain, or heaven forbid, even attempt to make it a better place yourselves.

Well said travelling man.

I am from Gainsborough and have been round the stump several times and it is a fine building and hopefully appreciated within the town..and hoping at some point to have a look round the(I think they call it the maud adams mill).

All very interesting and have a story to tell.

As for the moaners, every town has them and certainly not exclusive to Boston..it appears to be countrywide, sadly.

I think it's the Maud Foster Mill and is a working mill, have you tried the Guildhall yet, it's very interesting too.

Ethically he should have walked, but under the rules of play he was well within his rights to stand his ground until the umpire indicated "out",  and wasn't it Ian Chappell that once said you don't walk?

I think there is still at least 2 more that can walk away ;) ;)

Let them go if they don't want to play for the club, whoever they are we will probably be better off without them. 8)

Once up on a time you had to have good standards of spelling and grammar to become a newspaper journalist. When and why did that change?

With the advent of "Text speak" no doubt, plus Spellchecker doesn't include grammar and punctuation correction!

We could always do the usual thing - sign a right back and play him on the left :)

Has anyone heard anything about our new stadium?   I was told on Saturday night that it is going to be close to Johnsons garden centre! can anyone confirm this?   I've seen nothing on the OS.

The past is the past, give the guy a chance, I'm sure we have all got a "little skeleton in the cupboard" that we would be appalled of if folks kept referring to it!! ;)

Not Yates, he disappears out of the game too often (same with Semple - I still have this image of him standing on the edge of the box with his hands on his hips looking totally dis-interested) neither do I think he is better than Mills, don't know about Budtz, he didn't look too impressive when he played against us.

Where the hell do they dig these jokers up from? today's one was diabolical, and as for the laughing cavalier running the line on the Spayne road side, if he thought it was so funny then he should be banned.  Apart from that it wasn't too bad a game, though the wind and bobbley pitch didn't help, but a point is a point nearer safety.
