The B-Ark / Re: Have the Trsut started backing Boston in the USA?

There should be an asterisk alerting you to the fact it's American style!

I'd like to have it in the proper way, it's dd/mm in the database but I can't work out how to get Word to stop converting it!

This is classic "I know something you don't" stuff, so apologies for that, but apparently it's best not to take it all at face value with Pearson... With him being under 24 and contracted last season, Stamford would've been/are entitled to compensation. Make of that what you will.

Just to back this up - take a look at the first two posts on the Stamford forum here:

Arse.

It was a mistake not to offer him, Wood and Jackson a contract straight up imho, but I thought we'd get away with it...

The Northwich Guardian says appendix E, the grounds on which the Conference demoted both clubs, is as follows:

Quote
A Club will not be eligible for membership of the Competition for the following season if by the second Saturday in May in the current season it shall be subject to an Insolvency Event.

Similarly, a Club shall not be eligible for membership of the Competition for the following season if between the second Saturday in May and the Annual General Meeting of the Company it has undergone an Insolvency Event.

Further, a Club will not be eligible for membership of the Competition for the following season if it shall have entered into an Insolvency Event during the preceding season and have exited such Insolvency Event without paying its creditors (including but not limited to football creditors) in full.

In the event of a Club suffering an Insolvency Event after the Annual General Meeting of the Company and prior to the start of the new season then the Club will cease to be eligible for membership of the Competition for the new season and the Club will be relegated from the Competition to a level within the National League System as may be decided upon by the Football Association.

Looking at the second paragraph, I'd think Northwich's transgression is about as blatant as you can get.  We were presumably demoted on the grounds of the first paragraph, but at least with us you could claim there's some ambiguity - arguing that we were still in rather than subject to an insolvency event by the second Saturday in May, the only event to affect it in that time was coming out of the thing.

Hi,

Yes it's very much still going.  We received a share certificate for 12,000 ordinary 25p shares in the club the other day.  The meetings have been happening and are minuted.

The website is indeed a bit stale, we'll get it updated soon.

Heard today he's on £300-400 a week base at Gainsborough, with £150 appearance fee and £70 a point.

Don't really ever listen to rumours but given the names Gainsborough have been signing recently I wouldn't be surprised if it's correct.

Both these posts from someone called Sandsman on their forum (obviously he's the club owner/CEO). So all the moaning about finding out about being released on the OS is playing for sympathy with the fans as he already done a deal with Gainsborough. He has gone down somewhat in my estimations and I would think all the rumours that he had done a deal with Gainsborough at Xmas where true. Totally changed my mind on him good riddance he had no loyalty to the club.

Absolutely, what a bulls-er - both in terms of this sympathy show and how he's explaining his reasons for moving as being down to the style of football (nothing to do with the money Trinity are clearly throwing around?).  Don't think he can expect too much sympathy from Boston fans in the future...

Ideally, it'll be Unibonds with Kings Lynn.  If we don't get the latter then so be it, but we must stay in the north...

No worries, I'll get used to it.

Some breadcrumbs for the forum at the bottom of a thread, above the other links part would be great though.

Hate to moan, but I'm going to.......  ;)

Are there some lines/borders seemingly missing in some places?

Really hope its plain Amber with a bit of black.  Just cannot see anything other than a standard Vandanel shirt though, not that there is anything wrong with that - just get the colour right!

Ditto.  Not sure we can really expect suppliers to go out of their way for us while we're Unidump to be honest.
