I don't know about you, but I am sick to death of answering my phone to cold callers. I have put a block on certain numbers 20 max. The same is happening on my mobile. I have recently come back from a cruise, all calls charged at £2.50 a minute to make or receive. Obviously I left my phone on in case family tried to contact in an emergency. I finished up with charges of nearly £50 from the same number, even thou I did not answer.
I then get home and found my answer phone full up with 20 messages from the same number.
I have been waiting for that number to ring to give them a rollecking. Sure enough they rang today, I proceeded to lay into the woman and demanded a refund for costs to my mobile phone. After about two minutes of me letting off steam the woman replied. " I am very sorry about that, do you need a new boiler?"
Watching the build up to the Sutton V Arsenal match, Shearer said any kind of result for Sutton tonight would go down as the best performance by a non league side in history. He based this on Arsenal being one of the best sides in the Premiership.
I dispute that, surely Boston's 0-0 draw AT Derby ( then the League champions) in 1974 must rank up there. Not forgetting Hereford . Lincoln's win at Burnley must also trump or equal any positive Sutton result. Me thinks a team down sarf get all the credit.
Have just heard regular supporter and friend of the club Kim Cox has passed away. He used to post on here as O CHO MEALLT. He was also a member of The Boston United Trust committee. R.I.P Kimmy.
I think Denis has to take action before we really are in the Sh*t.
I know it is a completely new team, but I saw nothing there to inspire me.
I know I will get slagged off by the happy clappers, but give me some hope.
Aside, I thought the pitch was a disgrace, bring back Nobby. I know our number ten had a minger, but some of the racist remarks I heard were out of order. I did not see who said them but if I did I would have pointed him out to a steward.
I know this is off Topic, but this is very important. Please sign this petition to try and stop LCH taking very important services away from the Pilgrim. https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/127285
In June we all have to make one of the most important decisions of our lives. How we vote in June will map out this country's future for generations.
Do we vote to leave the EU ?
Or do we stop in ?
I would think how the people of Boston vote has more meaning than say certain other parts of the country.
I just wonder how the general feeling is, on this a local forum.
No racist comments please.
I will start it off, I am voting OUT. I did not vote for us to enter the EU and I have not changed my mind.
I think the town of Boston get a pretty raw deal (funding wise). We have a very high percentage of migrants, yet no extra funding to help. Our schools, doctors, hospital and roads are under extreme pressure.
