The B-Ark / Today's match
« on: August 14, 2021, 05:53:19 PM »
Not the result we wanted, but thought Spennymoor were the better team on the day. Not sure about their penalty, but someone nearer than me could have a better view. Also thought their second was offside when he received the ball. Again not in a great position to see. I think we have to rethink our formation,  thought we played too narrow. Anyway only the first game, onwards and upwards.

The B-Ark / Good luck lads

The start of a new season. All our hopes and ambitions take shape as from today.  Let's start with a win against the cheats ( if the coach doesn't break down). Good luck.

The B-Ark / I have a cunning plan

This does not require the use of turnips  :D. Can someone more savvy than me set up a car share thread? I sometimes have a spare seat from Fosdyke area. My mate has two from Spalding area. Both of us have a parking pass. I am sure many people are in the same boat. To make the most of the limited spaces we have to maximize car occupancy.

The B-Ark / Concerns about Saturday

Have you seen how narrow the turnstiles are? My advice is don't follow me in, you may have a long wait :D :D :D :D

The B-Ark / Disgusting
« on: July 12, 2021, 02:53:44 PM »
The racist abuse suffered by the three lads who missed the penalties, is totally out of order. It's a game of bloody football. People abusing these on social media should have the full weight of the law brought upon them. Social media is a great thing when used right, but it's another platform for racists and bigots to spout their poison  >:(

The B-Ark / England
« on: July 11, 2021, 02:36:44 PM »
Good luck tonight,  bring it home.
It got me thinking, get your brains in gear.
I'm sure we could field an England team of all players that have donned the amber.
With the likes of Gazza an all time England/ Boston team would take some beating.
Any formation you like and you are allowed five subs.
I will post my team after some research.

The B-Ark / Season Tickets

Any statement due, concerning season ticket and parking passes?

The B-Ark / FAO Ken, is this a record?
« on: March 29, 2021, 04:42:00 PM »
I have noticed the infamous Brexit "in or out" thread as now reached a quarter of a million views.  Considering I locked the thread exactly two years ago, over 50% of views have happened since.  Surely these views are not from regular Patter users. Does the counter work properly? Or are people googling Boston Brexit and being directed to this site? Either way this must be a record.  I am not looking to restart the thread, it's just an observation.

The B-Ark / Gloucester Stream
« on: December 02, 2020, 09:59:27 AM »
I must say when the stream got going, I experienced no buffering or freezing.  The picture was clear and commentary was in sync.  I thought the camera angle was very poor, it was like watching the match from the car park.  I was disappointed with the 35 minute delay, but that aside, one of the better streams.

The B-Ark / Very little affiliation
« on: October 27, 2020, 08:48:16 PM »
Is it just me, or has anyone else been struggling to have affiliation with our players.  The lack of seeing the players live is to blame.   Don't get me wrong,  I support them to the hilt. But if I passed half of them in the street,  I would struggle to know them.

The B-Ark / Season ticket dilemma
« on: September 21, 2020, 08:53:11 AM »
I thought about upgrading to the west stand.  This presents several problems.  I have always stood with family and friends on the old Spayne road stand.  We have the full match day experience, pint in the club, plenty of banter and curry and chips at half time.

The trouble is, some of the group are non season ticket holders.  They can only make about 50% of the matches, due to working or being on call.  It looks like due to covid 19 restrictions, the only way to get a guaranteed entry is to buy one.  The other problem is, if we buy tickets for the West stand we cannot sit together.  We are not all in the same bubble.  So the other option is not to upgrade and stand in the north stand.  My old legs are not what they were, and I find it difficult to stand for the full 90 minutes.

The other problem being, the west stand will be bloody cold with a bitter easterly wind.

Dilemma sorted.  I will stand with my family and friends (observing social distancing of course ).

I can imagine some fans facing the same dilemma :D :D :D
