The B-Ark / Re: BLOOMER
« on: June 13, 2009, 02:02:56 PM »
I don't think Bloomer was brilliant  but some of the stick he gets on here at times has been a bit harsh. If he was as bad as that why was our two new men willng to talk to him, and not many of the others. Does this mean that their judgement may be questionable on who is a good player and who is not?
Was it a case of being willing to speak, or that they hadn't actually got hold of him?

No Hurst and Scott definately held talks with Bloomer.

Before the first friendly.

I am fairly sure the new management team is working hard on the starting formation. After a great deal of consideration my line up would be a straightforward 1-1-1 formation.

              Aaron Butcher

              Liam Parker

               Mark Camm

Any better ideas?????????

Think you will be able to add two more names tomorrow (not JJ ). ;)

If that is true it would appear that bostonshire was right and our two managers agree that it was correct for them to contact the old players to tell them they were not required.

The Eastern Daily Press have a video interview with Carl Heggs on their webb site which i have just watched. In my judgement this chap makes Steve Evans sound modest and rational.

Think you're right ghm, just had a listen methinks it will all end in tears. There's confidence then there's confidence

Just read thread titled awfully quiet on  here. Why is the new managers being slagged off.I watched an interview on sky news with Steve Bruce he said that he wasn't the most gifted of player but got there by hard work and was looking for the same from his players.Ummm where have i heard that before?.Oh yes from H/S when they first came here to BUFC.They also promised attacking football not the long ball crap. They haven't been given a chance. There is an old saying evevthing comes to them that wait .The first signing i am imformed is a good player and a Lynn fans favourite so for me they can take all the time they want.Stop the negative comments and give them some credit for the sense they obviously have about football. As for the writers that think they did'nt inform last years shower of s--t that they were being released there was a lot of deceipt going on in my opinion.I recall several players supposedly injured swanning around at matches, when the likes of Griffiths Beck Milly were keeping the team up. Good riddance to them.
Bugger me I always thought this was a disscusion board were individuals could say what they liked (without of course being libelous). If you don't agree with them fair enough but please don't ask us to stop posting anything that you don't agree with. By the way the first signing does look a good one let's hope for more of the same. :)

Football is an emotional subject and on message boards, in pubs and at grounds up and down the country people have heated discussions because of differing opinions. I don't think BB1 was asking you to stop posting, just giving their opinion which just happens to be different to yours. Me and Bostonshire don't agree on how the former players were treated, I don't think we'll ever agree on that subject but I respect his opinion, however that doesn't stop me telling him he's wrong!!! Just my opinion but I think you're reading far more into this than was intended.

I alway thought stop meant stop

Wow all I said was that I was concerned about the lack of signings. I don't think I suggested we should pay over the odds for any players. Don't just sell them a wage packet sell them a dream (especially the younger players). When I was a young un and we picked teams down the local footy pitch you wanted first pick to get the decent players, as far as I'm concerned the same applies to us now.

The B-Ark / Re: New Away Kit!
« on: June 06, 2009, 03:40:09 PM »
This is so funny.  The player modeling your away kit on the official BUFC website is Soloman Taiwo - a Dagenham & Redbridge player!!!

Clearly someone has a sense of humour.

Why would that be funny?, move on boy.

Moved on ages ago mate but I still think it's very funny.  Sorry you are so touchy about it though.

Are you that sad and pathetic that your still on this forum? You moved on ages ago but your still here? Either retarded or clueless.

This get's better by the day!  Anyone else want to reveal that a raw nerve has been touched  ;D

Never looked at the Dagger forum for about 4 years, now you on the other hand .............. Now let's see who has moved on and who hasn't. Answers on a postcard to Paul from Barking another Patter stalker.

I'm totally behind them. I think you'll find this summer that players are pricing themselves out of the market as most clubs are having to cut their playing budget. I would say that there will be plenty of talented players without clubs right up to the start of the season and the longer they are without a club the less money they'll accept/be able to command. The only clubs getting players in now are those with silly money to throw around i.e. Gainsborough, for the rest (which is a large majority) it's a case of playing the waiting game. An example here

The problem is we are very much a footballing outpost unlike Kiddy they will have loads of local players looking, and can afford to hold out. If we wait too long and are offering a small wage players who live too far away wont be able to afford to come and play for us. I'm not panicking yet but I must admit to being a little concerned at the lack of activity.

I think we should stop wingeing about lack of signings and just try and be patient. I agree it would be nice to see something happening but the new managers could just be waiting for the July sales when players realise they cannot be greedy. We should be encouraging the pair by showing our patience and trusting them. Come on HnS do us proud and I will reward you with the freedom of Kirton (thats just outside Boston if you didn't know). If they do let us down we can suspend their passports and keep them out of Bostonshire.

Let's hope all the decent players havn't been picked up by other clubs. The worrry is Kings Lynn are signing players on from the area were we would expect to be picking up signings, so to are Trinity. I have shown faith in the two new men by getting my season ticket, hopefully there will be some signings next week, or I will be concerned that we can't compete with other clubs at this level.
