on reading about the abuse to the keeper i agree that punishment should be dealt out against the offender ! teach them a lesson and ban them for the rest of the season !   better still, put em in stocks in the car park this coming weekend and put them to shame  >:(

as i've always said its the final third that has let us down , then throw in the odd defensive slip and that is why we do not get those points that we deserve. the team as i have said all season play some great passing football, so we are not that far away from been the full deal. stick with it folks, together we will all get there ! :xmashat

If you go to a concert, and the singer does not perform, the crowd are quiet.  Just the same if a comic is telling all the old things you've heard before.

The crowd will cheer and encourage if there is something to cheer.  It is so obvious, I can't believe this is even being talking about after today's – and other recent performances.  Boston fans will get behind the team when they are playing well.  Once more, particularly in the first half there was very limited action, especially goalmouth action . . . the crowd was quiet, in fact they were cold and stunned!

thats a daft quote to be fair. yes at concerts same as everything in entertainments the crowd will go quiet if things are not up to standard. but the simple facts are from the start of any event the crowds are loud, cheering and in expectation. sadly at bufc this is not the case anymore.  why do fans look at the half empty rather than half full views. go there at 2.55 and lift the lads when they come out. keep it up for 10 odd mins and then, and only then if it doesn't lift the team ( which it jolly well should ) then by all means rest your poor voices.  but for goodness sake don't say that because our form is up and down you are going there in expectation of no entertainment.  then you have to question yourselves of why are you going !

thing is, you have to question why when we play the bigger teams ie: chester, halifax, gainsboro the fans are vocal throughout, and also vocal away from home. if they can be like that during these games then why not at home in every game ? maybe we do need someone to gee us up so to speak. bring back a rocking rev type person at the start of each half. something needs to be done though, for at the moment there is more life in a morgue.

the crowd have been pee poor all season, today it took until 5mins from the end of the first half for the first chants to go up. yet these same people moan on here about things. maybe some of your hot air could actually be used to boost the team from the off right the way through.  after all, most are wanna be managers on here.  i blame the crowd totally, does nobody actually think what effect it has on these players not to be backed and boosted ??  ???

noughtyforties i am not sure what games you watch but the standard overall this season play wise has being good. just watch the passing and of the ball runs on youtube clips. nobody can say we don't play good football. yes, results mean everything. but even top teams in the world don't win everything.  maybe if some of the moaners on here vented there hot air towards singing and chanting come 2.55 every saturday then maybe our team would get that lift off too :)

The atmosphere has been muted for the past 18 months..........make of that what what you will. However big a role we play in encouraging the players they have to offer something back and too often, like yesterday, there's precious little coming from them.

yes we expect something back from them, but to be honest apart from defensive mistakes we again played some attractive football. as for the role we play in encouraging players, what is the point of been quiet from the off ? you saying that until they lift us, were not obliged to lift them ? my theory is if we as a group lift them from the off, and then they don't deliver then we have cause to moan. but if we don't make our effort then we can't moan as we let the game down just as much as the defensive mistakes !

i heard some of the abuse at the end, those that did it..call yourself fans ??  >:(  also, on the fans front, why oh why was it so silent today ? if the crowd cannot make an atmosphere for us vs 3rd in the league and give the lads that extra buzz then what have we got to moan about ? maybe a few should be looking at themselves over the rest of the weekend for A.. over the top abuse of players, and B... not doing your part as in making the home advantage pay off and make the place a daunting place to come to.

green hats mate, if you look at the cv's of the majority of  strikers most have lots of previous clubs. so does that mean you wouldn't sign any of them ? i would say if we were lacking up front we should at least try and bring him home. but we are not lacking there, and as for centre back. maybe we do need one more, but thats more for cover as ward/stainfield partnership is solid.

how do some of you think we can afford strength in depth all the way to the bench ??? we are no man city you know. for goodness sake, 99% of teams have weaker players on the bench, fact. only way these will get better is with experience and game time. but of course, some folks live in dream world and expect us to win all games, have a bottomless pit and should have a bench of superstars.  anyway, back to today. all the lads were excellent. for me though jones and stokes were outstanding, and a huge thanks must go to wardy for the goal line clearance late on  ;D

newsham pen is now on youtube folks.....http://youtu.be/GmF3S4jv-w4
