Good signing - but is this a hint to the new ground location - Freiston - hope they build an out of bounds course

QPR made wholesale changes, look at the demise of that club - We do not need wholesale changes, just better players to come in and replace those being released and bring the best out of those remaining.

Once we secured our league status the season was over, forget about this season look forward to next and try and show some faith in the new manager and give him a chance.

The talking points on here should be who will we sign? The launch of the plans for a new ground? Our future as a conference side in twelve months time?

The time for doom and gloom has been and gone,Dennis is right to sign players quickly,Fail to Plan, Plan to Fail.

I for one will look for the team to hit the ground running, but i refuse to denounce the team before its even kicked a ball in the new season.

Although i agree the club needs our support, you cannot expect people to part with hard earned money just because it is our club.

The club have to put in place the structure to win these fans back, after two bad seasons, one inexperienced manager and one bad manager
being appointed, and a poor quality of product on the field. The chances are the club may have already lost these fans to other activities.
It is important that the club and the fans work together to get this balance right

The early bird discount should be offered until the end of june,so that the so called stay away fans can see the development on and off the pitch.

More incentives need to be given to families to encourage even more young fans - not free entry but a junior pilgrim season ticket priced at £10  for any area of the ground providing an adult season ticket is purchased.Or £20 if purchased individually for certain areas of the stadium, the club cannot afford it some may say, well with crowds down from the 1800 mark when Scott and Hurst first arrived,i would say that we cannot afford not to,what's the point of a near empty ground.                                                                                                             Ok so we are signing 8 maybe 9 of the exsisting squad,it has its positives, but look were we are have finished in the league with this group of players - it will be the new signings that encourage people to invest and the performances on the pitch for those who prefer to pay on the day.

Ha!Ha! well done Scouse Pilgrim,it always pays to have ambitions, i think you would be better to concentrate on a profession selling clocks, as you are certainly a bit of a wind up merchant.

GHM might as well just stand him in the Spayne road end, should be interesting
LL you crazy boy, not a bad idea though.
LN  If the proposed venture goes ahead with a preferred Hotel group, and we receive certain grants i would assume we still have to find a few million

But with Lord Lucans out look and £2 we are well on the way :D :D :D :D :D

In view of Scouse Pilgrims comments reference the potential new ground development,i thought it would be a good idea to suggest methods of acquiring the funds needed for such a venture.

I would suggest we put a swear box in the new managers dugout, as i think this will help build one side of the ground :xmashat
Also we could sell Boston United earmuffs for the kids

Based upon the Stamford game if its Fire and Brimstone your after, then here's your man

Unfortunately good coaches do not always become good managers, often they are to close to the players and fail to gain the right level of respect/fear to achieve maximum performance from the players.

The question is can we afford to get rid of him while he still has a contract to be paid off, then the demands of a new manager which no doubt would be greater still, and the money required by any new manager to freshen up the squad with players they prefer.

The answer is not until the end of the season when the true value of the man will be known, then any new manager can access which players he wants without putting us further into debt than we already are.

Unless of course someone comes along and invests huge amounts of money which they know they will never get back.

Football is an entertainment industry which relies on delivering a quality product to attract new and impulse customers to supplement its hardcore support who follow the club no matter what.
I believe David has lost sight of the fact that in his desire to put the club on a sound footing, he must also have a structured investment to provide the quality of entertainment that casual fans desire in order for this club to move forward.
Current results suggest that this criteria is not being met, therefore a change of direction is required.Or we will have a hardcore support of 900 and more cuts.
Whether the current manager can achieve these goals is open for debate,i think personally he is a better coach than he is a manager, but to do nothing will put this club back further and increase our existing  problems.
