After three indifferent years to say the least, what a refreshing change to see the the whole club moving forward for the future. But what have been the highs and lows of your season so far?

The B-Ark / Fund Raising For New Ground
« on: December 19, 2012, 08:48:34 AM »
In view of Scouse Pilgrims comments reference the potential new ground development,i thought it would be a good idea to suggest methods of acquiring the funds needed for such a venture.

I would suggest we put a swear box in the new managers dugout, as i think this will help build one side of the ground :xmashat
Also we could sell Boston United earmuffs for the kids

Based upon the Stamford game if its Fire and Brimstone your after, then here's your man

The B-Ark / Local Businesses
« on: August 11, 2011, 08:23:19 PM »
What a shame we could not find the money for Spencer Weir-Daley to return,i think that would have given us more competition up front, surely some local business could have contributed towards the funding in some way. This could come back to haunt us if we get a injury to either of the two main strikers.

The B-Ark / Vardy
« on: July 20, 2011, 11:55:33 AM »
Grimsby claim they cannot afford to compete for the signature of Vardy from FC Halifax at £50,000 so they cannot be expecting to pay alot for Pearson and Church despite the valuation they themselves set during last season?

I still think we need a key striker to be signed, any news in that area, ie loan player etc.... as time marches on to acquire someone who will gel with the team and make sure we compete in BSN.

Quite rightly David Newton has focused on a forward business plan to secure the long term future of the club, although we are not yet in profit we have more stability and hope for a long term future, with investment in a new ground with the capacity to generate additional income to sustain the club ,we will become a giant in non league again.

Short term we may have to suffer the restrictions to achieve this goal and like most fans i would sooner see us signing key players and winning every game 5-0,yet we must keep faith we could still sign a 20 goal a season strker and a playmaker in midfield.

I know its difficult to be inspired at the moment, but we need PMA Positive Mental Attitude not Pre-Menstrual Arseholes.

The B-Ark / Communication is key
« on: June 26, 2011, 06:02:25 AM »
While other teams around us appear to have done most of there business in the transfer market, we seem to be prepared to wait for trials once pre-season starts.Yes, i know Jas and Canners appear very relaxed about the whole situation, but the lack of positive feedback from the managers on our O/S will create negative reaction from amongst the fans.
What is the position with Spencer Weir Daley?
Do we have key players targeted to improve the squad?
What type of player are we looking for to improve our squad?
Anything to lift the boredom of waiting for the new season would help?
Do we have any rumours of being linked to top strikers at this level,or a midfield general etc....

Thanks to all the players, managers for a fantastic season,we will just have to win the league next year.
Still cannot believe that game today the passion and fighting spirit was great to see,but the refs are not up to the job
the number of penalty shouts both on Tuesday and Today are unbelieveable that we did not get at least one

The B-Ark / Something fishy at Grimsby

TAKEN FROM THE BOSTON STANDARD TODAY.......

The Boston Standard reports that in a bizarre turnaround, Grimsby Town Football Club are counter suing Boston United for sending two managers that are not fit for the purpose intended.

Club chairman John Fenty said in a statement; "The management duo are clearly not of merchantable quality and do not fulfil the purpose for which they are intended, i am most upset that they clearly do not do what its states on the tin.As a result of this,i am returning the goods,so to speak; to the place that i aquired them and expect a full refund".

This about turn comes as a direct result of two disappointing performances. In the first performance, early promise saw the mariners take a two goal lead only to fall over and let in two goals at the other end.Last nights performance against Darlington was markedly worse than Saturdays, yet Hurst in his after match interview thought that it was an improvement;using terme like "pleased with the commitment shown" to describe lack lustre performances.Fenty went on to say "were these guys watching the same game as us?followed then by more crap and finishes To top this off, they then take of my prize asset, well i am sorry this is not what i bargained for when i took this Cannon & Ball like double act and i am not happy.

Boston United chairman was not available for comment as he has been admitted to Pilgrim hospital after a bout of laughing hysteria resulted in a mild heart attack.

Seems that are contracted managers are going down a storm at Grimsby
