I think the visit of Blyth will be the stiffest test since CE joined the Club .

At least its more permanent  ..

And its becoming clearer the policy is to reshape the team in season , where it can be tested in the League rather than fannying about for signings close season ..

If Chestnuts had sacked the non-manager a month earlier , be in playoffs by now !

Ye ,lost  2-0 to Mickleover Sports who had Pablo Mills and ' young , towering ' Alex Morris at the back .

Maybe Morris worth a look .

 Agreed ..

JS  is quite famous and looks a character .. though looking at this seasons uTubes don't know if he's any better than Willis .

If he is he'll be a crowd pleaser ala Bazza .. which will bolster the gate .

Good to see CE buying mid season .. I think the old adage of fixing a team in close season often doesn't work .. as has been shown at Boston .

 I listened to commentary

    Many chances yes .

But I think various managers have agreed there is a lack of skill (inc finishing ) at this level of football .

The defence still needs to improve ok , debatable how good the lad is seeing he's been on loans .

Didn't appear to be on the winning side in 3 CN League games this term ..  :blank:

Both York and Southport bought in 2 players before the matches , and were defeated .

Alfreton have bought in a couple inc 1 from USA .

Hope tie goes the same way  ::)

They are loanees and will probably go .. as CE has signed 2 other defenders .

One could argue there is now a servicable attack and midfield in place .

And with improving results on the pitch , I would like to think (probably wrongly) that the purse strings are being relaxed to fix the defence  ::)
