The B-Ark / v Fylde in the play-off semi
« on: May 15, 2022, 05:05:46 PM »
Well done today on a magnificent 2 - 0 win to get into the play-off final away at York City.  And what a marvellous support of up to 1,000 which was about half of the attendance.
Who would bet against us now?

The B-Ark / v Kidderminster
« on: February 22, 2022, 12:33:27 PM »
Tough away match at Kidderminster tonight with recent form suggesting a comfortable home win although they will be without their best defender Matt Preston, seriously injured against Alfreton causing game to be abandoned after 12 mins.

Fortunately we are in our yellow kit tonight in which we have won 3 out of 4 away this season.  We haven't won away in blue or white since BPA on 30th Aug.

Final score 1 ~1.  Good away point after ex player Gordon Thewlis had scored for his new club in the 1st min.  Hanson opened his account for the Pilgrims just before half time.
Looking forward to Tues evening for Paul Cox’s first game in charge,

The B-Ark / Prof Sir Jonathan Van-Tam
« on: January 13, 2022, 10:39:52 AM »
Prof Sir Jonathan Van-Tam is leaving his role as England's deputy chief medical officer.
Health Secretary Sajid Javid said it had been "an honour" to work with him, saying he was a "national treasure".
Prof Van-Tam said it had been the "greatest privilege" of his career to have served the UK during the coronavirus pandemic.
He will continue to work for the government until the end of March before taking up a new academic role.
The professor said his time in the role had been "the most challenging of my professional career, especially the Covid response," adding: "We all wish Covid had never happened."
He thanked all those he had worked with during the pandemic, including the "countless numbers who work behind the scenes - all of whom have an unrelenting commitment to help and support the British public".
"It has been an honour to work with them all," he said.
He especially praised chief medical officer Prof Sir Chris Whitty, who in turn applauded Prof Van-Tam's "steadfast support, advice, leadership and commitment". The pair were knighted in the most recent New Year Honours list.

The B-Ark / v York City
« on: January 08, 2021, 02:05:47 PM »
York City have been doing their homework on our players and think David Perkins (38) of Fylde is one of them. Hope their football is as useless as their research.

The B-Ark / 1st home league win
« on: December 26, 2020, 05:12:43 PM »
1st home league win at our new stadium
Boston United  2 - 0  Alfreton Town

Good win against opposition who give little away.  Perhaps should have made it easier for ourselves if only we could convert the numerous crosses put into  their box.  Fortunate that the pen against us was struck hard against the bar and bounced out but we thoroughly deserved to win.

The B-Ark / Blyth match in doubt
« on: November 17, 2020, 06:51:18 PM »
Our next match on Sat 28th Nov is now in doubt as Blyth should be still self isolating.  Their match away at Spennymoor tonight is postponed due to Covid 19 in the Blyth camp.

The only team I can see without a game that day are Fylde although that would be a difficult fixture for us on our first day back without any training.

The B-Ark / Fylde match off due to Covid
« on: November 14, 2020, 11:55:25 AM »
Today's match at Fylde is off due to a member of team/staff testing positive. This will also affect the next 2 games - home to Kettering and Spennymoor.
We really need the abandoned game to be decided in our favour to get another game done with or we could be 5 games behind Gloucester before we resume.

The B-Ark / Match off!
« on: October 10, 2020, 10:26:54 AM »
We were informed this morning that a third player is now showing Covid-19 symptoms.

"Therefore following our protocols; the medical advice received and, above all, to try to keep everyone safe, today's fixture against Guiseley has been postponed.

"Of course we will be fully supporting the affected players through this period."
