The B-Ark / Re: You couldn't make it up!

I blame that particular advertising hoarding for our poor home form during the opening weeks of this season. All too often our strikers got themselves into shooting positions, but were then distracted by Simmonds' advert a few yards wide of the goal. And with the way his party are running the country into the ground at the moment, who can blame our strikers for taking pot shots at his face instead of aiming for the goal net?

With Adam Millson, Ben Wilkinson, Nathan Stainsfield, Jordan Burrow and now Craig Armstrong, we'll soon have more blond players than the Swedish national side. Maybe Katie could get a game as well?

Come to think of it, Jason Lee and Henrik Larsson both re-invented their hairstyles at around the same time as well.

Are we Sweden in disguise?

The B-Ark / Adam Millson joins Wisbech on dual registration
« on: September 08, 2011, 04:53:50 PM »

See link...

http://www.wisbechstandard.co.uk/sport/wisbech_town_sign_millson_on_dual_deal_with_boston_united_1_1016893

... How does this dual registration work? If Boston and Wisbech have fixtures at the same time, who gets first call on his services?

Also, Wisbech are still involved in the FA Cup but have another game to play before Boston even enter the competition. I assume we wouldn't want him cup-tied. As we signed him first, can we prevent him from playing for them?

Fowler for Wrexham probably being their best player

The way that the Imps approached their pre-season friendly at York Street, I thought Fowler was a Lincoln player?

3   SWP still has not got fixed up with a non-league club.

I know he's fallen out of favour at Manchester City, but surely Shaun Wright-Phillips ought to be aiming higher than non-league?

The B-Ark / Police seek to identify looters

The police have released more CCTV images of some of the people they are trying to identify in connection with recent theft and looting offences .....

Brian Little has confirmed he has had talks with SWD but will not be signing him yet as he has four strikers.....

But they already had two goalkeepers in Gavin Ward and Phil Barnes. And that didn't stop them from signing Rory Coleman.

I'M atraid you have got it wrong YSP, If you look on Trinitys web-site you will see it listed under Fixtures =

Tuesday 2nd August Lincolnshire County Cup Semi Final,

Gainsborough v Lincoln Utd or Boston Utd (Home) 7.45pm Ko.

It's their home page that's wrong - the bit that says "Next Match" ...

http://www.gainsboroughtrinity.com/

Still, its only eleven days out-of-date.

The B-Ark / Gainsborough Trinity match, Tuesday night
« on: July 31, 2011, 02:20:23 PM »
According to the non-league paper, Gainsborough Trinity have a friendly against Worksop Town at the Northolme on Tuesday night.

Clicked on the Gainsborough website to double-check my facts and their next fixture is on 20th July against Scunthorpe.

For all the money they're throwing around at players ... way beyond what their attendance figures can justify ... its reassuring to find that their administration is still as tinpot as ever. They can't keep their website up-to-date and they don't know who they're playing!

Kettering played a friendly at Arlesey today. No mention of Spencer Weir-Daley on the write-up on their official site.

Mind you, they have already got Nathan Koo-Boothe and Jean-Paul Marna in their squad. Maybe they like double-barrelled players?

We're starting the season in a play-off position and some of our early games are against struggling sides. Workington are bottom of the table and Vauxhall Motors (match 3) are in the relegation zone ...

... Or doesn't it work like that?

The Grimsby chairman named Fenty,
Will speak to the press aplenty,
But if you break his quotes down,
He's little more than a clown,
And his head is totally empty.
