Another 2 Boston united supporters one of whom used to be a season ticket holder who now watches Peterborough United will be there. At the match on Saturday were 3 fans who haven't been for some time (one since we were relegated from Division Two) and they will be returning. That wasn't the case after our very poor first half.

We were poor in the first half and when already losing 1-0 - one of the Guisley players headed over the bar when it looked like he was going to score their 2nd.   We started the second half much better - but once again let Guisley in and they rattled the post.  It was only when Davidson was substituted that Boston took control of the match and it was only a question of time when we would equalise, then go onto win the match.

Mikel should have started the match not come on after halftime - and he has to start against Worksop on Wednesday.

There is talk of the final taking place at either Lincoln United's ground or Grantham Town.

I have never visited Lincoln United's ground - but I don't wish to watch another final at the Mere's Stadium, and certainly not floodlit - not only was a blinded by the floodlights, shadows in the middle of the pitch, you needed a pair of binoculars to see what was happening the other side of the pitch.

I don't think it has been mentioned on this forum previously - but unless we win the league outright there is strong possibility that we could meet Retford again before the end of the season - in the play offs - not to mention the League Cup.   

So I hope Kendal beat them on Saturday - and they slip up in their remaining matches - or Bradford slip up and we carry on winning.

Duffield started the brawl at the end of the match.

I thought he was going to give Cully a post-match hug - but you don't do that with your arm round the other person's throat.  Wish I had filmed it with my phone - but it happened too quickly - and would knowing the way the Retford players and management conducted themselves - I would most probably have been a target!   

Very bad losers.

But just before half time - Ellender complained to the Referee for being fouled - and as he left the pitch at halftime - told Duffield to go and have a word with the Ref about the way he was being treated by the Boston players.

Retford United are a disgrace to football.

Shodfried is correct.

The league is the most important competition.

Concentrate on winning the league.  Don't want the play-offs because we would probably blow our chances of promotion.

(Besides - I have a bet at 14/1 to win the league!)
