Scott and Hurst have a very good win record at Boston, and everyone should know Rob Scott is a poor loser and doesn't take criticism well.

By all accounts the players at Grimsby are all on contracts for another year, so he is stuck with them.

Will be interesting to see how Scott takes to losing more games and how he copes with the criticism from the fans.  He also needs to grow up and not get into arguments with the opposing management & coaching staff when his team is losing.   He did this in the latter part of the game on Saturday and also against Gainsborough on New Year's Day.

I temporarily moved from spain road to the FI stand on saturday and was frankly disgusted at the way Scotty was speaking to the Harrogate bench. I couldn't hear what was getting flung back at him but I'd hope it wasn't unprovoked, otherwise he truly is an appalling man with no respect for others (regardless of how I feel bout him after todays news).

I too was in the FI stand at the front to the right of the dug outs and I could lip read some of what he said,no idea what Harrogate bench were saying as they had their backs to me,but there were a lot of words beginning with F being voiced towards the H bench..

During the Gainsborough match when we were losing, Scott had a dig at Brian Little's goatie beard.   It was embarrasing and made Scott look a fool.    In fact Brian Little turned to the FI fans and said Your manager is an embarrassment to Boston United - and I wasn't the only person there to agree with him.   A few weeks ago at another match, someone from the back of the stand shouted down - "get some defenders" - to which Scott turned round and if looks could kill said "put your hand in your pocket".....

A very quick appoinment and one which should work well.

But could there be another twist to the Grimsby Town Managerial Post - according to a Twitter post by gtfcprogramme "Martin Foyle takes his seat in the Main Stand next to Stuart Watkiss - managerial dream team?"

Not what would be funny.................................... :D

I am not alone in NOT wishing them well.

To leave with a handful of games remaining which could result in promotion into the same league as Grimsby is most unwelcome.

Rob Scott  is a poor loser and doesn't like criticism - so he is in for a rude awakening when he gets to Blundell Park.

If we manage to get promotion this season, I doubt he will get a good reception when Grimsby come to York Street.

If they do go:-

What a dreadful time (for Boston United) to be leaving the Club - with a good chance of getting promotion into the same league as Grimsby.
Why leave a club which has a chance of another promotion into the same league as the "poachers" (and another plus-point for their CVs) - or don't Rob and Paul think Boston United will get promotion?

Is there no loyalty these days?

The B-Ark / Lease on Ground
« on: March 17, 2011, 01:49:52 PM »
I was told yesterday, that because of the number of years remaining on the York Street ground lease,  Boston United wouldn't be accepted into the Blue Square Premier.

I can't think this is a problem because no one has mentioned it previously - but can anyone shed any light on the subject - such as do the Blue Square Premier League have any rules relating to minimum years remaining on a Football Ground lease?

O/T - Crawley Town's ground capacity is only 4500 - are they going to move or add additional capacity to their ground, because as far as I am aware the minimum capacity for entry into the Football League is 6500.

We played much better once Spencer came on for Davidson.  At least they then started to play football.

One of the funniest comments one fan close by said looking towards Spencer " Quick get him on - before Danny recovers"
