The B-Ark / Re: Kings Lynn tickets
« on: December 24, 2019, 12:46:39 AM »
Lynn fan coming in peace.....

Just to confirm, our programmes are not, and never have been, online you can buy them near the ticket office and inside the ground.

Also in reply to the post about food & drink, there will be some available in the segregated area.

I would advise buying your ticket online if you are sure you're coming which will save queuing at the ticket office. Also, be warned that if you're aiming to get to the ground at 2.50pm and haven't brought online there's a chance you may miss kick off!

Here's to 2 good games!

Linnet, do you know what the position is, please, in respect of away supporters wanting to sit down at the game? The "all you need to know" article published by the club doesn't tell you, and therefore a bit unsure which tickets to buy. I did send an enquiry to the club to ask them but that was two days ago and still unanswered. Reading the earlier thread, I'm not the only one asking this.

I also emailed them - and still waiting for a reply.

I'm just going to purchase stand tickets online.

The B-Ark / Re: I am banned after Rochdale match.
« on: December 20, 2019, 07:25:34 PM »
I am banned from betting on Bet365.

I received an email stating " After careful consideration, our trading department have decided to restrict your betting account" I won £110 on the Boston Rochdale result.

After looking back on my account I am showing a profit of £362 on my last six months of betting.  I tried to back a horse yesterday and they would let me have 64p on a 2/1 shot, meaning they had a liability of £1.28.

The MD and founder of Bet365 Denise Coates, paid herself a bonus of £217 million last year.  They only want mug punters.  Well this mug will have to bet somewhere else ;)

£110 Win on one match isn't much.

I won over £130 on a Boston match when they were in the Unibond league and carried on betting.

I wouldn't have thought £362 over 6 months which is only £60 every month was excessive.

But the buying of tickets isn't very clear.

The match is segregated - fine - but there is no information if you want to sit down.

Don't want to buy a grandstand ticket then find because you are a Boston United supporter they don't let you in.

I thought I had set my system to record the match - but after I pressed the play button  - it was just blank.  I hadn't checked that there was broadband on the box.

Very annoyed because subsequent broadcasts weren't the whole broadcast and not the whole match.

I have managed to get it save it on my phone, but have been unsuccessful transferring to my PC to edit it (no adverts) or convert it to a different format to edit on my phone.

I do have the highlights though on a file.

Highlights of the friendly match - Boston United v Manchester United 25 July 2001

The attendance was 5184 - wonder if we get near to this on Monday night.

Bearing in mind the regime at the date of this fixture do you think the attendance could be  be understated ?   after all anyone can make mistakes and they made plenty .

Quite possibly - because it was quoted as a sell out crowd and the capacity of York Street at the time was over 6000.  Maybe the 18 in the 5184 was incorrectly written down (5841!!)

Did any of those young Manchester United players become regular first team players?

No - but one of them played in the Man Utd reserves.

I mentioned on the YouTube description what happened to some of the players.

I know there's a big, big replay, but believe fellow Pilgrims, believe. It's 45 years since we had the chance of a top flight team at York Street in the FA Cup. Dare to dream....

And that wouldn't have happened had the ball it got stuck in the mud on the Derby County goal line!!!
