With an apparent total lack of fit strikers in the squad I can't see Boston scoring many goals for a while. My Computer reckons this one is A Draw. So it has to be:

Boston beat Coalville 3-0 in a pre-season friendly, but this is a different kettle of fish. I'm still going for a Boston win.

Scunthorpe have scored six goals in each of their last two league games so not surprisingly My Computer has this one down as a very easy Away Win. I'm going for a surprise:

Boston United don't seem to bounce back after FA Cup exits, Spennymoor are playing well and I can't recall a Boston win at Spennymoor in recent times. So I'm predicting:

Boston United haven't played Worksop Town since 2009/10 when both sides were in the Unibond League Premier Division. Boston won 5-1 at Worksop with goals from Spencer Weir-Daly(2), Marc Newsham, Mikel Suarez and Ryan Semple. I don't think that score will be repeated, but it would be very nice to see a Boston win. So I'm going for:

A tricky FA Cup encounter. Both sides are in the National League North and have won three, lost two and drawn one in their last six games. My Computer has it as a narrow Away Win, so I'm going for:

Back to league action. Only three points between the two sides, so not surprisingly My Computer has this down as a Draw. Last season Chester won this one 3-2. I'm going for:

Back in 1977/8 Boston United had one of their best ever squads. They would win the Northern Premier League well ahead of Wigan Athletic as well as defeating Southern League Wimbledon in the Champion of Champions Cup. However in the FA Cup they entered in the 4th Qualifying Round with a game at home against AP Leamington and went out after a 2-1 defeat.

Leamington are a different club to AP Leamington, but it would be nice if this year Boston could avoid another early FA Cup defeat as in 1977. Last season Leamington were in the National League North with Boston but they got relegated. Boston United beat them home and away. So I'm predicting:

Boston United 2-0 Leamington (1250)
