What actually happened with Evans and Nathan Abbey? I'm writing an article for Soccer Portal on why Crawley aren't what they're cracked up to be, would like a bit more detail on the whole thing. I know they fell out but what for?

Mmmmmmm.........! be careful.  8)

Tell me about it, I could rant and rant for days about the fat Scottish bar steward

Good signing imo, while I'm sad to see Suarez go, I think Boyes is the kind of signing we need. Played at a higher level - perfect.

Thought a centre back might've been on the cards though. Anyone heard anything concerning that?

I can understand why Scott and Hurst are angry but for goodness sake, these kind of fans exist at every ground across the country - fickle idiots who think we should be walking the league. Boston are in a fantastic position in the league at the moment, the squad has a lot of decent talent put together on a shoestring budget, and the fact that we're in the playoff pack, and pulling away from the rest of the league, is remarkable.

If you honestly think that the team should be turning up, home or away, and spanking teams 5 or 6 to nil every week, you're deluded and need to take a look at yourself. Yes, the managers shouldn't be having a go at the fans every other week, it's not the best way to take things forward, but if Rob and Paul don't think they're getting enough appreciation for the fantastic job they're doing, they have every right to voice their opinions.

If a 'select few' so called 'fans' end up being responsible for Scott and Hurst walking away from York Street... >:(

They seem to think we're in the BSS so the answer is no, we can't win. We're not a real team  :D

A number of things may have affected the attendance - football on BBC, a number of home games in a row, it's midweek, cold weather etc.

Not sure the 955 figure is a reason to be concerned, every team will have peaks and troughs in their attendances. Besides, United have examplary crowds 9 times out of 10 anyway, the envy of the league!

Exeter City sometimes have 'Eric' at big home games and some away games, which is a massive red and white flag passed over the top of the fans in the main terrace.

Makes sense to not give a grant I'm afraid, if a new ground isn't going to be an all seater. All grounds have to be all-seaters when clubs get to the higher levels regardless, so giving away money to a club that's going to have to spend more money eventually is backwards thinking

Burton have done ok without, as have Rushden.  All seater is NOT the answer at lower level as it would be a big burden on the finances that could see the club crash down through the divisions again.

I completely agree it probably isn't the answer for Boston, I'm just saying I can't see the side getting a grant for a new ground if the plans aren't for it to be all seater

Why does it make sense? Your stadium only only has to be all-seater when in the Championship. We're in Blue Square North!

Championship inside five years though  ::)

Very old-fasioned name. Quick Google search indicates no footballers from the last few decades were called Cecil

Any further news on the new stadium? Will it be much the same proposal as the old Staffsmart Stadium idea or has it changed?

FM reckons he's a defensive midfielder. Must be rated if Irvine's given him a squad number  :)
