Art imitates life...Rob Scott's just left Boston United on my latest Football Manager save.

What's John Beck doing these days?

Two people approached apparently, but no confirmation as to names or even whether they're internal or external...

Is the idea that the two people approached will work together? If not, what happens if both say "yes"?

I like the sound of Jim Gannon, but we would have to get promoted and then approach him then. Seems unlikely that he would want to join now, and as I've said, I'd rather we appoint a caretaker from within until the end of the season

S.T is sort of within is nt he ?

I was thinking more 'currently employed by the club', along the lines of Steve Welsh again until the end of the season

I'd rather we promote from within, at least until the end of the season.

That way, the person in charge knows the setup/players, and we can keep the promotion push on track because there shouldn't be too much change.

Bringing someone in from outside the club at this stage could be nothing short of disasterous. Wait until the dust settles at the end of the season and then think about bringing someone else in perhaps

Just heard the news.

Absolute gutted but angry at the same time. There really is no loyalty in football. I know Rob and Paul have done a fantastic job at the club, and I for one thank for that because without them, we'd still be languishing in the Unibond imo. However, they're leaving with unfinished business, and that irks me so much.

They were both on the verge of possibly taking us into the Conference, a fantastic achievement no doubt. So why leave now? What kind of effect is this going to have on the club? If they care about BUFC so much, they'd have signed a pre-contract with their next club or something, and stayed on until the end of the season.

I really fear for us now, this is going to knock morale pretty badly, and as they've resigned we haven't recieved any compensation that we could use to possibly get someone else in.

Oh, and I hope they go to Rotherham if anywhere. Grimsby Town, at this stage, is definitely not a step up in my opinion.

That number 5 looks like the long-lost, poorer footballing cousin of David Luiz/Fabricio Colocinni  :D

I follow Newcastle as well as Boston and the Toon have released a couple of DVD's this year, obviously the 5-1 victory over Sunderland is one but the 4-4 draw with Arsenal has also recently been released.

As has been said, DVD's of matches are not always released to commemorate wins, they're put out there for memorable matches as well, and that's not small-time in any way at all. To think that way is small minded in all honesty. It's just good business sense.

And as you can see, there's clearly some demand for this DVD so it looks like the club have made the right decision.

Sorry, thats wrong.

I was told the goats got to work that night.
Can't see the problem, he'll be home for 11 o'clock if he hoofs it back home.

I saw him the other night in a bar I was having a few drinks in. He looked gruff  :(
