The B-Ark / Re: What's the weather like in Guiseley?
« on: December 16, 2011, 09:24:54 PM »
Whilst its cold up here, pretty sure the game will be on.We are pretty good at letting teams know if its off.Double check our forum tomorrow.Always a tough game when ever we meet .We have men coming back ,but a couple of key players maybe missing.Like I say always a tough game, I'd settle for a 1-0 in our favor but would not be surprised if 0-0!!
Safe journey to all those making the trip and good luck in the league ...after tomorrow.. ;)

What is happening at Boston? You seem to be letting lots of last years squad go?
We have lost key players in Wally(Darlo) and Needham(Halifax)who will be hard to replace.I think every fan of every club dreads this time of year, but thats football.
Any way Good Luck with your new squad.

Fantastic game ,your support was a credit to your club never stopped singing all game.Only gripe was some abuse to towards our team at half time ,and one of our players when injured .I'llput it down to youthful spirit, and quickly move on.
Really worried when Wally was not in the starting eleven,we are really down to the bare bones.Still Stampy did us proud and led the line well.Won every header, causing your centre halfs problems all night in the air.Agreed you were far the better team first half and wasted 2 or 3 good chances.Second half we were a totaly different team we started to close you down ,harred and you for what ever reason your midfield was all at sea?We know theres still lots of football to be played by both sides and know we will after be at our best to get anything at your place. While most teams would try defend a slight lead, we will  still play 3 up front dont think its done us any harm all year so why change a thing?
Hopefully Wally should be back ,so we might even get a penalty....... ;)

Should be two close legs.Really looking forward to Tuesday, with so much at stake cant see many, goals being scored.Seems we always play better away and you so strong at home  no matter what happens Tuesday,Sunday will be a real crackerjack. In truth out of you and AFC Telford, always hoped to play you. With both our games stalemates and Telford doing the double over us they would be well up for it, confidence wise.
So, after 180 mins may the best team win!!

Whilst I'd love us to go on and make the play offs(Guiseley) and maybe we will !!.But to be honest we unlike yourselfs ,we just have not got the infrastructure in place. You have a fantastic ground.Great support .We are trying to get our ground up to a decent standard, yet fan base is still very poor. Our only saving grace is our Directors.Yes we have men willing to put good money to the cause money wise.Yet sadly our  the maths dont add up?
So should we not make it, good luck in the play offs as I know for sure you will make it.

Sorry,if your going on your calculations.
2.181 is higher than both 2.083 and 2.037?
So would not Guiseley be Second?
Anyway has a Guiseley fan and I come in peace, really hoped we both could really make a push for the top two places. To be honest can't see Alfreton messing up.They have a massive squad unlike yourselfs and us.Whilst on paper we are in a very good place in the playoffs .We are still in the FA Trophy.Should we beat Luton which is very doubtful we then have a two legged semi.Meaning we will be in the same boat as Alfreton, two, three games a week all the way in.We have a very small squad so injuries to key players will mean we will start to struggle and I mean struggle.Anyway every team will hit a bad patch so hopefully you might turn it round.Really hope you do.

The B-Ark / Re: Boston vs Guiseley match this coming Saturday

Can't believe for such a big game both camps have kept such a low profile. To be honest, with still lots of games to go tomorrows result would not be a disaster if either lost!!We know we are in for hard game ,they always are.Cant help looking on the non league forum, you have to laugh. When ever i see the same posters, coming out with the same rubbish .First we(Guiseley) were going back down to the Evostik this season. Then midtable, then when we got to the play-off places we would not last the pace.Anyway, glad Boston live in the real world.Your too good to knock other teams, unlike some forum members on that site.Pretty sure with a big fixture build up ,you'll see more and more strange results. What I am sure is Boston will be in the top 5 places come the end of the season.

Many thanks too Porl 99.

Agree with YeadonLion Drench is a class act.Back to the game, played in the right spirit, excellent football considering the weather.Seems Crawley had scouts watching, they must have been impressed by the football played by BOTH teams!!
Can't argue 0-0 was fair result.Good Luck,in the league...Except when we play at your place of course.

The B-Ark / Guiseley Tuesday.

Really looking forward to Tuesday, should be a cracker. To be honest, we like yourselfs are on a crest of a wave.We know its going to come to a halt sooner or later but we are enjoying it while it lasts. We are not in the same class as yourselfs ground or fan base wise but I certainly think player wise, we will give you a game.Pity its not a Saturday as im pretty sure you would have brought a massive following.Still even though its a midweek match, you'll no doubt bring plenty of fans.Fans who have been to Guiseley before will tell you, we are a friendly club with no segragation needed.Good luck in the league, after Tuesday of course. ;)

Dont take any notice,i think you'll see lots of posts that dont make sense tonight(lots and lots of beer)But it seems we have just won the league.Looking at some of your forum posts ,it just seemed you just had to turn up to today and you'd win the league?Look believe me Marine were a team who'd turned us over with 10 men !.In this game, results seem to bite you just when you least expect it!..And it does!!
Look im not some idiot, who likes whining other team  forum members up.
Still all to play for in the play/offs ,Good luck!
