And then you wonder why long term legacy fans of almost 50 years like myself are increasingly growing completely disillusioned with the club.

Off the pitch spot on, never been better.

On it, a half arsed shambles that lurches from embarrassment to embarrassment at every turn.
Agree with the above no game for a couple of weeks and we treat the paying fans to a team that was always going to get beat. I have questioned what this hybrid system is bringing to the club and what this so called under 23 team is really all about and last night did nothing to answer those questions. I find it confusing that the fans through BUSA are raising money to finance the under 23s set up as advertised in the BUSA posters around the ground, I would have thought that the cost would have been covered in the clubs budget however, ours is not to question why even though we keep pumping our money into the club. UTP

Unless you were being sarcastic there Mel you've every right to question where your money goes.

Thats the problem here, people won't ask questions because they'll get shot down by the "be grateful to have a club" & "how dare you question our board" mob.

As pointless as last night was it has exposed the folly of this half baked hybrid system for the 'jobs for the boys' fiasco it is. David needs to dispense with it and go back to part time where we attract the better, more experienced lads at this level, not wet behind the ears academy lads who aren't strong enough for thie level of football.

It was sarcasm Andy as you rightly suspected, without a fans representative on the board with the required mandate I am afraid all our protestations fall on deaf ears and it appears this situation will continue for the forseeable future. A wonderful community stadium but with no community representation. I had better leave it at that or the wrath of some will come down on me.  UTP.

It was colder than a mother-in-laws kiss which didn't help with the sloppy start we made, yet another goal from a long throw so poorly defended. After getting one back into injury time of the first half (which I missed as I had gone in the club house for a warming whiskey) I thought we could get back into the game.
Second half we played arguably our best football of the season dominating posession but frustratingly no end product, learn to defend and I feel we can go on to better things.  UTP.

Thought the same Mick, hopefully an early call either way on Friday night or Saturday morning saves a lot of aggravation.

Or a 10am inspection and a day in the pub :D :D :D

Trust you Spillane piss artist

That young lady was the worst refferee to ever officiate at this level however, that is absolutely no excuse for the pathetic exhibition by a Boston United so called team. Lee mentioned the management team and I have to agree, how the manager can see what is going on on the pitch from his place on the bench below pitch lavel is beyond me, then as usual for the last ten minutes comes out shouting and balling orders when it is too late.
This set up is going nowhere and wants sorting out ASAP the decisions made by the management regarding starting line ups and substitutions often appears to make no sense. Yes I will be there on Saturday hoping we can once again paper over the ever widening cracks.  UTP

Thorndike's gone back to Birmingham. Of course, this was only revealed in the programme by *the chairman* long after it had happened, and not once was Cully asked the question in several interviews by BBC Radio Lincs.

Newton said he'd returned because he wasn't breaking into the team - but didn't elaborate. Which is exactly why you need someone to ask, well.... why? If we're so short of numbers, why did we bring in a loan player like Thorndike only to decide he wasn't good enough? What happened? Was the scouting poor? Was he not putting shifts in at training? Could he not commit to the travelling? Is the money saved by his departure being reinvested into the squad?

Did anyone ask these questions? No. Of course they didn't.

The club's communication is frankly pathetic. The media coverage is somehow even worse. Yes, thank you BBC Lincs for covering the games, but when things aren't going well or players are AWOL you have to be comfortable asking the management some awkward questions, and clearly no-one at the station can be bothered. Absolutely useless.

Point well made Pete, I have been critical of the terrible communication from the club and got a bit of stick for it. Then it is revealed BUSA have provided at great expense wonderful new technical equipment video cameras etc which will lead to improvements in those communications. I would have been happy with that investment but it has not done what I believe it was donated for, certainly nothing produced involving the management team updating us on the general situation regarding training , injuries etc. All there has been is filming of the players answering stupid insignificant questions as you say Peter nobody seems willing to ask relevant questions. UTP.

Well there it was for all to see, so short on personel when young Wilson leaves the field with what looked like a dislocated shoulder we replace him with a young fullback to play as a lone striker. Perhaps it is as well we are out of this competition if this how desperate we are for players, this is not having a pop at the young fellow who gave his all. For crying out loud lets have some players in the fans deserve much better. UTP.

Yes David I think we agreed after and during the game that  Rowe and Edge were outstanding. Was very impressed how the young boys took the game by the scruff of the neck just when they were coming under a bit of pressure. A second half that lifted the spirits going forward Well done Lads see you all at Coalville.  UTP.
