At least there won't be any problems in the next round as the opposing manager learned everything he knows from his "Good Friend".

This was the football we had been dreaming about, it started last week and it was great to see that effort was appreciated, with the managers picking the same starting line up. We were up against probably the biggest ( in size ) team in this league, and it was obvious that the only way they would score was from a set piece which of course is what happened. But it also needs to be said that we played them off the park in that first half, and had it not been for a couple of worldies from their keeper would have had a good lead.
Second half saw us dominating again, and yet again great saves from the keeper who was clearly their MOTM. I know you don't really want to know this, but I was on my way to the lavvy when we got a free kick just outside the box, so I returned and with steam coming out of my lugs saw Rossy net from a fantastic strike.( never enjoyed pee like it in all season).
Sorry about getting carried away, but after all we have gone through this season, I have to say that at last the managers have realised we have got talent in the squad to go up against any team in this league, just a pity it has taken them so long  for the penny to drop.
The three lads up front were nothing short of sensational, and if any player on that field deserved to score the winner it was Ben Fairclough, got kicked to bits but bounced up and terrified them every time. Yes we still need to sort it out at the back but on this day let's just enjoy the positives.

Was happy with the team selection before kick off as it was going to mean passing the ball on the floor as opposed to hoofing it to JL and happy to say that is what happened. Although we didn't manage to win, everyone agreed that the type of football played was a great improvement and in my opinion gives us hope for a much better future. Well done all. A quick word about our new right back, after what looked like a nervy few minutes early on he grew into the game, defending confidently and showing excellent ball distribution to the mid-fielders and front men.

Interesting to read all these posts from people who were not there today. Okay I said on here the other day that after the crap on Tuesday I wasn't going but I did, and the next time I make such a promise I will stick to it. Believe me Dartford are not a brilliant team but our defending was abysmal, I noticed someone has just said their third goal was a fluke, that is rubbish it was a player with his back to goal and a defender all over him side footing it backwards into the net, no fluke just crap defending as were the other goals.
Over the last few weeks JL kept saying "the season starts here" well it appears the season ended here today so, what now?
I am with Andy the time is right to get in a manager who can use the rest of the season to have a look at some of the good players we have and prepare with his additions for next season.
JL has had his chance but has decided to play all season and not find a replacement leaving us rudderless during games and this was compounded today when he substituted Ross and left Sleath on there who did not complete one pass all game.
I will still be there next Saturday supporting the lads but it is becoming hard work to work up any enthusiasm.

I know I said I was going to miss my first game of the season tomorrow because of the crap we were playing but it's now got to Friday and I can't. I will be there tomorrow and hope we play SWD, Newsh and Fairclough up front and go for it. I said I feared humiliation but I can take that if we really go for it.
Will be picking up at the endevour pub about 1030 am Room for two more if you want to go PM me or just be there your welcome and it will not cost you a penny in petrol.

Is this the first chink in your armour of why you have returned after such a long period away? Could it be that you have been ordered by your brotherhood to attempt to turn the fans against David and Neil? It is common knowledge they have been looking at possible sites for a new stadium, could it possibly be that you and yours fear you will not benefit financially from such a move, indeed, is it possible you could actually lose out. I think the people of Boston realise that the days when individuals or groups of people had the power to veto what happens in the town are long gone.
Comparing David and Neil to those others is contemptable.

I began writing a post last night following the game but was so wound up decided to scrub it in case I regretted it this morning. Well I'm still wound up and it is not going to change until some positive moves are made the first of which is the removal of the managers as it appears they have lost the dressing room. Did Jason sign Constantine so that he woudn't have anyone to challenge him for a place? speaking of Jason how the hell does he get to start every game when his performances get worse each game? I have scrapped the plans for Dartford on Saturday and will miss my first game of the season as I fear a humiliation.
On a brighter note I thought Fairclough looked terrific when he came on but I don't expect the managers noticed so we probably won't see him again. It was also good to see and have a word with Thommo although what he thought about the game he had to endure goodness knows.

Thommo had the bottle to drop Clare to the reserves, a great move that got the other players playing with a smile on their faces. A true footballing legend lets here it for him tonight.
