This coming Saturday night 24th August in The Pilgrim Lounge from 7.30pm we have four comedians providing us with plenty of laughs throughout the night. Sunday’s Boston United Community Day will feature a host of activities to entertain the whole family and entrance is FREE!
United have linked up with the Community Games initiative — an idea inspired by London 2012 — ensuring there is plenty going on for everybody in attendance. Zorb balls and giant quoits will be on offer for people to try courtesy of the Lincolnshire Sports Partnership.
Two Centre of Excellence fixtures between the Pilgrims and Lincoln City will take place during the day — alongside two sets of performances from the United Cheer Team.

UCT will be providing face-painting opportunities for youngsters too.
The Pilgrims’ inflatable pitch will be in use by the Community Football Club and the Positive Pilgrims throughout the day.
Lincolnshire Golf Partnership and Boston Hockey Club will be in attendance to showcase their products.
Fans will also be able to measure the speed of their shot courtesy of a new Speed Shot element fitted to the club’s target goal inflatable.

On the United in the Community front, the Community Day will see the conclusion of a special charity bike ride while the balloon race, co-ordinated by UITC, will officially be launched in conjunction with the National Balloon Company.

The afternoon will be rounded off by the Pilgrims’ annual photocall — this year featuring the photographs of the first team, reserves and youth team. The United players will all be in attendance — providing fans the perfect opportunity to meet and mingle with the Pilgrims’ class of 2013-2014.

A variety of inflatables will be available to keep the children occupied.

The likes of the Boston Target, Boston West Hospital, BUSA, Jakemans Confectioners, Lincolnshire Police and TaylorITEX will all be exhibiting their products and services on the day. The car park will feature a special family area including a BBQ, while there will also be an exhibition of cars on display from new shirt sponsors Drayton Motors.
 
The Pilgrim Lounge is playing host to a craft fair throughout the day — and it is not too late to get involved. If you would like to book a table, contact Tina Edmunds on (01205) 365098 or via e-mail.

The Community Shield between Manchester United and Wigan Athletic will be live on TV in The Pilgrim Lounge at 2.00pm — the ideal way to conclude your day at The Jakemans Stadium.

The Annual Boston United Golf Tournament 2013
Opportunities remain available to enter the Boston United golf tournament on Friday July 19.
Staged at Boston Golf Club, the event is open to all, with four-team entries priced £120.
Discounts are available for existing Boston Golf Club members.
Among the 23 teams entered to date are teams captained by United legends Paul Ellender and Dave Adamson. Martin Filson, Greg Fee, Martin Hardy & Chris Cook make up another team.
The day includes 'halfway house' refreshments and a two-course meal upon completion of the round.
Once again there is the chance to win a KIA car courtesy of the football club's new main sponsors KIA Drayton Motors during your round with a hole in one challenge on the par 3 5th hole!

The final few hours of the 'Early Bird' period to purchase Boston United season tickets is now looming.The ticket office will be open between 9.00am and 5.00pm on Friday and 9.15am and 12.15pm on Saturday for supporters to get their hands on the 'Early Bird' season tickets.

Come on all you former pupils of Kitwood who have just celebrated or coming up to their 50th Birthday get yourself down to Boston United's Pilgrim Lounge on Saturday 26th January from 7.30pm to meet old friends and possibly some old teachers! Hopefully Mr Sykes, Mr Woodcock, Mr Despicht, Mr Tuplin & Mr Hamshaw will be in attendance.
