What a pillock!

Now he'll get a 3 game ban for an act of idiocy.

Should be fined at least a weeks wages.

The B-Ark / Another win
« on: November 07, 2009, 05:44:11 PM »
Good result lads, especially given that SPS and Retford both won as well.

Not quite sure how SWD gets the credit of first of his goals, as without hitting the defender it would have finished up in the snack bar  ;D  Surely that's an OG - but who actually cares eh? Maybe the only way to score from that tight an angle was to blast it at the defender and hope it went in - I love when a plan comes together!!!!!

Though SWD looked lively. Can't believe Newsh was asked to play that far back, especially first half.  Tap-in's eh   ::)

Good crowd as well. Ropey performance at times, but heck, I'll take another 20 wins like that now.

Chris Withe - what a player he was - if only he was 15 years younger and could play for us again.

Anybody going?

I bought 4 tickets t'other day, and spoke with David Newton in the car park.  He asked me if I could buy 100!!!!  Does that mean not many are going??????

There was a fair old crowd last year and I would be surprised if there were less this year as it really was a good night.

FAO Chalker  When is the full itinerary going to be published? O/S says Thursday - yet with a little over 3 hours until the gates open still no news.  What have you got lined up for us????

The B-Ark / Kieron Leabon
« on: September 06, 2009, 09:31:51 PM »
For those that like to keep up with the whereabouts of former players, the following has been taken from the Non League Daily Website:-

Kieran Leabon has been sent out on loan to Zamaretto League Division One Midlands neighbours Bury Town after making just two substitute appearances for Blue Square Premier club Histon.

Stutes boss Steve Fallon thinks the young forward, who arrived at the Glassworld Stadium from Boston United during the closed season, will benefit from the move after struggling to adapt to life at the higher level.

Leabon (pictured) joins fellow Histon attacker Andrew Tidswell on loan at Ram Meadow.

Fallon said: "Kieran will be at Bury for a month initially and, if it's suiting both parties, he could stay there longer.

"He's come up to this level and struggled a little bit, certainly confidence-wise, and he knows some of the people at Bury.

"People need to be enjoying their football and in surroundings where they feel confident to try things, so that's why he's gone there and, hopefully, we'll get the real Kieran come back to us at some point."

The B-Ark / Ricky Miller
« on: August 30, 2009, 07:16:32 PM »
From the Non League Daily website:-

"Tuncay Korkmaz, manager of UniBond League Division One South club Stamford, believes he has a formidable arsenal of striking weapons.

Korkmaz saw his latest signing Ricky Miller (pictured) make an immediate impact when firing an equaliser at Goole AFC in midweek.

Former Spalding United and Rothwell Town man Miller , snapped up from UniBond Premier side Boston United, joins popular Phil Stebbing, prolific former Peterborough Northern Star man Karl Gibbs and the currently injured Danny Matson in the Daniels ranks.

One forward on his way out of the Vic Couzens Stadium is Sam Bettinson. He has returned to Deeping Rangers but remains registered as a Daniels player.

Korkmaz said: "It is important to have four good strikers and I certainly feel we have that.

"We are pleased to have Ricky on board and if he can continue the form he has showed in the past, he is the sort of player that is capable of scoring 25 goals a season.

"He only had 12-or-so minutes the other night but popped up with an important goal. Ricky adds to what we already have here in Phil, who has all the attributes and scored goals at this level last season, Karl and Danny."
