A friend of mine posted this..
"Who, in their infinite wisdom of English football fans decided to kick off the match at 8pm, with all the bars open at 11am??!!
Anyone with half a brain cell could have predicted the utter farce of the drunken fans at Wembley last night.
When Mark and our three boys headed off yesterday, I knew they would witness some bad behaviour, but not be actually scared for their lives!!
Talking to the boys this morning they said it was like being caught up in a apocalyptic zombie movie. Red flares made the whole sky red and smokey. It was terrifying. Bottles being thrown, a carpet of glass, riot police, a man with broken leg screaming and being carried. Blood everywhere... Fighting... idiots trying to knock over the portaloos.... utter morons 🙄
The riot police were struggling! The whole thing was a fiasco!
Mark managed to find a route out in the end, they put their hoods up in vague protection from flying glass and debris, and formed a four man caterpillar with Mark at the front and Jamie at the back holding on to each others shoulders so they didn't get split up
There were terrified small children there. Their memories will all be for the wrong reasons... 😪😔

Surely we need to see the reason from the National league why they made this initial decision.
I think they should be made to give their justification especially in these tough times.
They absolutely should be accountable to how they reached this ridiculous decision.
Although I don't buy into the FA still punishing the club for misdemeanors during McFraud's era I do believe as a club we can be too nice at times. I certainly would have appealed this, bugger what other clubs think, we've got our players and staffs welfare to consider first and foremost. In the current climate its the absolute height of folly to send a club traipsing 100+ miles for a game that was done and dusted.
