The B-Ark / community day

well done to all those involved.
Nice to meet the new players and managers. All seem really approachable guys.
Good to see the Chairman still prepared to get his hands mucky, helping to clean up at the end.
Didnt see any one from the Trust there or did I not look hard enough?
Great atmosphere despite the weather doing its best to spoil it.
Well Done

A tale of two show ponies
1 gets sold for £80 mill
1 gets kicked out of Kings Lynn.
Never really thought of him as a "show pony"

I see in this weeks Standard they are having a campaign for a "Brighter Boston".
I'm unsure if its a campaign for more street lighting or an intelligence thing.
Any ideas?????

Who's this bloke Ken Dodd singing Happiness on the Grassy Knoll

it was more of a reference to Dallas (town not programme) than Knotty Ash :)

you didnt offend me lol!
in any non team sport there is generally some special players/riders but Timbo had Federer who is extra special so you had to avoid him in the early rounds simply to be runner up!
Did you see the Moto GP a couple of weeks ago when Rossi did Lorenzo on the final corner? Rossi is extra special!
I guess in golf you had Woods and in F1 Schumacher. They all had loads of people regularly finish behind them who never got tagged "loser".  I think it must be a British thing :)

Tim Henman always was a 'Nearly Was' player.

I feel sorry for poor old Timbo. At one time he was ranked 4th in the world which means there was only 3 players beter than him on the planet. Yet he gets tagged "loser" or "nearly man"
