Newsham is now on 10 goals. I'm struggling to remember when a Boston player last scored 10 in a season let alone by the end of October.
(Get down the Gym you lazy sod lol)

Hearty CONGRATULATIONS to SCOTT, HURST, NEWTON, KEMPSTER and all THE TEAM for a great effort and a great result.
The people of Lincolnshire are being denied a fantastic achievement by a narrow minded radio station who don't recognise something great happening in a place other than Lincoln.
And to think we lost 5-0 there last year!
Shows how far we've come.
Well done ALL concerned

Hope you are right!
I have been assured its a good day out and very entertaining.

The B-Ark / The Loan and the rent
« on: October 15, 2009, 10:13:21 AM »
Who took the £75K loan out?
Was it an individual or "the club"? If it was an individual - who was it?
Was it unsecured or secured and if it was secured, against what? Future ticket sales ala Leeds?
I find it difficult to believe a bank would lend such an amount to someone/thing with no assets as such and an at best variable income!
May be BUFC started the Credit Crunch!
Surely the bank involved would better off sacking the ninny who agreed the loan and restructuring the existing loan to get their money back?

Also the rent, isnt the landlord required to do up keep and repairs on any property they rent out?
Or is the get out on this that they only rent the land not the buildings?

Over to you Pere Noel and Qwerty

The B-Ark / Re: Worksop in Financial Trouble

PLAYERS and staff at Worksop Town have gone without pay, and the club has been barred from signing any new players by the FA.
According to a statement released today on the club website after the Guardian's print deadline, staff at the club have gone without wages, and the Football Association has issued an embargo on new signings.

The statement said: "Following rumours ADVERTISEMENTamongst the press and other sources, Worksop Town Football Club has acknowledged that it has suffered cash flow problems over the past month which has seen players and staff not receiving pay on time."

"The Football Club has made moves to assure the players that they will receive the outstanding monies owed to them in full and thank them for their loyalty and patience during this difficult period."

"The Football Club has also received a registrations embargo from the Football Association which prevents the club from signing any new players at this time."

"The chairman and board of directors are confident the cash flow problem will be solved in the next few days but in the mean time it is hoped that everyone will rally round the club in the difficult days and weeks ahead."

The news comes three weeks after chairman John Hepworth told the Guardian an admin issue had prevented the players getting their wages, after the club switched their payment method.

The Guardian has tried to contact Mr Hepworth today but he has been unavailable.

In Friday 18th September's Guardian he said: "Obviously they (the players) don't like it when their money doesn't go in but it wasn't something that was caused by my doing."

"It's not that the players are not getting paid, there's just been a delay."

"They've started to go through now and that will bring it back into line this week."
