Rochdale are putting on free travel for this match so they should have a good support.

Am I the only one thinking this is some ploy from someone at Dale who knows the YS set-up well enough to convince DN to give them the Town End? They know the dynamic/atmos certainly changes a bit if home fans are not in the Town End.

Brackley back to Tues night? Official site suggests that and makes complete sense.

A Premier League goalscorer - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aaron_Wilbraham

Compliment to us that they felt the need to bring him on after 25 mins. Good player, well past his best now but will be a big threat.

Agree. Work rate and desire was absolutely top class today. Couldn't fault anybody at all.

A shame we couldn't nick it in the end, I worry they come and turn us over easily at YS but based on today we looked the better side. All eyes on tomorrow night and then the replay. I suspect the draw will determine which replays are selected for TV coverage. The replay is also on a Champions League night so not sure which channel BT would potentially show it on...realistically it wouldn't get too many viewers as the armchair football fan is much more likely to watch Spurs, Chelsea, City or Liverpool than Boston v Rochdale. Still it would bring in some great revenue for the club.

The dream of course we win it and then play one of those four listed above in R3....Super Sunday 4.30pm on BBC 1!!!

The problem is none of these fringe players are getting enough proper game time, if we had a reserve team, which Chris Cook craves for, these lads would be getting regular competitive football.

The return of a proper Reserve team playing mostly at weekends, as opposed to an U-21/U-23 side playing limited fixtures mostly in midweek, has worked in the past. The Lincolnshire League is always looking for more clubs and its committee have worked tirelessly to try and restore its once good reputation and is still able to provide 3 match officials for games. The Peterborough & District League would involve less travelling but can only supply 1 match official for a game so the club would need to find a volunteer linesman for each match. Both are Step 7 leagues and, theoretically, the same standard of opposition - I am sure other contributors have opinions as to which is actually the stronger!

Interesting view this. Problem is you need a lot of players to run two teams on a Saturday. If a Res side went into the Lincs League or PDFL you'd have to have a fair few U23/U21 players playing along with fringe players, you can't use all the fringe players as you'd need some for the bench for the first team.

In terms of which is stronger the last time the league rep sides played Lincs beat Peterborough 2-0 however in Lincs Cup matches the PDFL teams generally come out on top, especially in the latter stages. Moulton Harrox v Hykeham Town this weekend in the third round which will be a good indicator.

The location of league is again a good point but if you're including U23/U21 players I'm guessing a fair few of those are Boston based if they've come through the academy system so would make sense to be in a league local to Boston rather than Yorks.

A final point is how committed will the fringe players be? It's a bit of a come down signing for Boston United but then ending up playing away at Leverington/Tydd St Mary/Wyberton/Nettleham in what is pretty much an amateur league!

I enjoyed! Late call to go up there once the local games around Spalding had been called off (apart from Moulton Harrox I know).

Cheers to the bloke who picked up my car keys and gave them back to me at FT. Must have come out of my shorts pocket during the fourth goal celebrations but massively appreciate that as could have been an awkward evening for me around Farsley.

HD running the show, oh dear, oh dear! Clueless at school and clueless in life by the looks of things! This meeting seems to be very clearly biased towards all who do not want the Quadrant. Surely these people have to realise that at least 80% of towns UK wide have had these out of Town centres built and they all seemed to have coped ok. Did Bell/Rush or any of the against group kick off when Downtown, Tesco etc all moved in out of town? No, of course they didn't. They don't want a football club or sporting activities built near them because they're so small minded and happy for there kids/grand kids to sit around playing computer games all day than actually getting out and doing exercise on the new facilities.

The most bonkers thing about SP (Mark Issac) is that in my experience of him he is a decent bloke. I spent some time talking to him at Cheltenham away, the game where Gazza made his debut off the bench and back then he was a true Boston supporter always wanting the best for the club. I have no idea why he is so against the club and quite frankly an online troll now.

Surprised a thread hasn't been started on this already but i've just seen the Steve Evans interview on SSN where he says that people involved in match fixing, spot fixing and football irregularities should not be allowed inside a football stadium ever again.

POT, KETTLE..
